Went kayaking here earlier today, my experience was not so good. I’ve been kayaking many times before and this seemed somewhat unprofessional. Only had sit on top kayaks and the staff had no knowledge of sit inside kayaks. Saw no wildlife, I know that’s not the company’s fault but it was a let down when we were reassured we would see manatees. The map they gave me was hard to follow and the path they told us to go on was given to us so quickly that we didn’t really get it. The lady working seemed to be rushing us the whole time to get on the water even though members of my party had many questions. Certain parts of the route are open to speed boats which we were told they will not stop for us. Indian key Historic State park was not available due to weather. This I understand and do not hold the staff accountable, in fact it’s a good thing they stopped us as the water was dangerous to paddle in. There are signs and warnings of crocs and gators on the properties that you pass by. This is something we had excepted in the mangroves but once we were in there it was a different feeling. The entire time we never felt at peace, constantly watching over my shoulders and under my kayak. The staff was very informative about this but we really felt very alone and helpless if something was to go wrong as really there is no where to go if you flip. I know it’s incredibly unlikely to be injured here but we really couldn’t shake the feeling. Also the instructor gave no instructions on how to use the paddle. The mangrove trees were beautiful but there were times where the mangroves for so narrow I had to keep my paddle straightforward and use my hands to push myself along against the trees. Be prepared to duck or lean back going through some of these more narrow spaces. I’m sure it can be amazing to see the manatees and maybe it would have made the experience better but to be honest it was quite an uneasy feeling the...

My wife and I had a blast on our 1hr jet ski tour out of Robbies in Islamorada. It was my first time driving a jet ski and our guide Oscar explained every thoroughly so I felt confident and secure while on the trip. It was just Oscar on his jetski and my wife and I on ours, our own little private tour. We did a lot of open water cruising and hit a few mangrove channels. Don't worry about bringing your phone for pics, Oscar took some of us and Airdropped them to our phone after the trip. Oscar checked on us multiple times on the trip, making sure we were good with our speed (exhilarating) and didn't have any questions or concerns. The hour flew by, literally! Overall it was a great time! If you're looking to get out on the water and have a good time make sure you check this tour out and make sure to ask for Oscar, he did a...

We had a super fun afternoon jet skiing and our guide was great! Unfortunately I don't have his name to shout him out. We had great weather, saw lots of interesting marine life, and really had nothing but good things to say. Until the very end. We were pulling in from our trip and the man guiding our group to park on shore was screaming and whistling at the top of his lungs at us. Being extremely condescending. Not only was it startling and completely unnecessary, but it put a weird damper and energy over the trip. I'm sure it was awkward for the next tour group who was standing on shore. I understand having a bad day/moments of weakness..but come on. We thanked our guide who was nothing but great, but the man with the beard really took the energy from 10 to 0 in a matter for 5 seconds. I would have given 5...

Did a jet ski tour with Jeff and it was my favorite activity from our Florida vacation! We jet skied to a coral reef away from the crowds and snorkeled with tons of fish and even a 2ft long puffer fish (don’t get too close, they’re poisonous). We then jet skied to the mangroves where we saw a water spout (so cool!!) and a pod of dolphins swimming around our skis. Jeff has a really great eye for spotting interesting sites and really knows his way around the ocean. $199 for a 2 hour jet ski tour. You can ride/drive 2 per jet ski. In Florida, you need a temporarily jet ski license to drive the jet ski. It took us ~20 mins to complete the test by googling the answers.

Pull over and go to this place at Robbies. Take the Kayak tour thru mangroves, and if you are up to it and the weather is good, paddle over to the State park. If not, it is still a good 1.5-2 hrs of fun, and you might see some crocks and other wildlife, but mostly an easy paddle. If it is windy, consider going on a double kayak with a friend as it is easier not to get blown around with two. If not, go solo, but you do have to duck and pull your way thru some tight spots, but nothing major.
