4ubyu Resale Store — Local services in Jackson

I wish I could give more stars. Can't believe I hadn't heard of this place until it was recommended to me by a coworker - there are more unique finds in this store than any thrift store I've been to in Jackson county, at about a third of the price of Goodwill or St. Vincent's. The owner, Mary, greeted me as soon as I walked in and was a pleasure to chat with. More than that, though, as I was browsing, i started to feel my blood sugar drop rapidly. No big deal, it happens all the time, but I didn't have anything on me to recover. I sat down in the dressing room for a few minutes (I was trying to collect myself enough to pay and leave, I felt horrible not spending any money after the owner had been so kind) but I realized pretty quick that this wasn't gonna be a quick recovery kind of spell. I went out and sat in my car, planning to call someone to help me out once my head stopped spinning, but before I could even get my phone out, Mary was walking up to my car to check on me. She asked me if I was alright, brought me back into the store and set me up with some candy and soda, and made me wait until I got some color back in my face before I got up again. She didn't know it, but I hadn't been having the greatest day until then, and getting to sit, chat, and be looked after by such a kind and concerned stranger was more of a pick-me-up than I could have asked for. I'll be giving this place my business until the day I'm in the ground. Even better - I walked out of there with ~4 new shirts for a grand...

Right off of prospect on the south side Jackson nearest to the 4th Street side of MLK drive. resale store. Yay! I recently found this store, I never knew it was there. A couple of gals and a cat. they looked like they were dealing with a very bad leak, I guess one that the building owner has ignored you can tell too. I watched as the business owner struggled to try to maintain her business. mopping up water and doing what she could do to save the merchandise. Her other reviews all pretty much gush with praise and loving words for the business owner and all the niceness she bestowed on them. Her name is Mary and I met her friend and her other friend her big ol cat as I perused her little shop. I enjoyed myself, it's a good store and worth helping back, even though there's another landlord here in Jackson that don't care about only themselves and lining their pockets, 9 years this lady was there, I'm sure paying her rent. I hope little word of mouth will help Ms Mary build her dream and her landlord will learn how to treat people. Fix your property so good people can...

I believe this is the only resale store that truly has one goal in mind, helping the community...the proprietor, she is an angel on earth, honest to goodness not out for anymore than the funds to continue to stay in business and eat etc ....not like for instance , Goodwill it's ALL about money although everything is donations... Before considering shopping at the places out for a buck, give this place a shot and you will see for yourself that good people do exist that are honestly in it for the community...
