Illinois Theatre — Local services in Jacksonville

Went to see Jumanji with my grandfather the day after Christmas. Our theater was so tiny! The screen was like half the size of a semi trailer, so disappointing. The seating was also horrible. The chairs themselves were fine, nothing great, but because our theater was so small and narrow, the only decent seats were the back 4 rows. As a result, everyone had to crowd in the back. The popcorn and drink that are supposedly such a good deal with entry, are tiny. I finished my popcorn in like 20 minutes and went out to buy another tiny one for 3 dollars. Then, I come to find out before the movie starts its 1 dollar refills 🤦‍♀️ theres not a lot of selections for any kind of refreshment, it's pretty sad. It's been a long time since I've tried a movie theater other than the RMC in South Jacksonville or the AMC in Springfield, but I guess I'll just stick with them, nothing else can match...

I was just at your theatre on Monday 9/9 at 7:00 to see Beeatlejuice. The floor was so sticky my shoes were sticking to the floor. All the trash cans were overflowing and the women's bathroom  upstairs was so dirty I would not even walk in it. The last show in the theater was on Sunday so there was plenty of time to clean up and empty the trash cans. We got there at 6:30 and got popcorn and drinks. The popcorn was cold and stale. As there had been no show before it should have been fresh and hot. Your theater is the only one I go to and I have never seen it so dirty before. I do hope this issue can be repaired as I enjoy seeing movies on the big screen. What made me even more unhappy is this is the first one I have been to see...

We visited the Illinois Theater this afternoon. It had been a while since we had been there. The staff was very friendly and the theater was clean. The prices were very reasonable. I don't know if it was just a fluke but the movie we selected didn't play any advertisements before the movie, just trailers. That alone made it worth seeing a show there. They also turned the lights all the way down during the show. Thank you for a nice...
