Went here today with my husband talking with the owner getting ready to purchase two beds frames headboards living room furniture a table The guy was talking to me and then two women came in and asked him I have one question how much is his bed he said $199 he turned from me when we were doing a write-up on pricing on everything I was purchasing and he continued to talk to the women and I said excuse me but we're in the middle of doing a deal here and he said he was sorry and the two women just looked at me he walked over to me and I said they had one question to ask you answered it and then they continued it keep talking and talking while I'm sitting there on the couch wanting to make all this purchase and you just left me sitting there and he apologized again so I said I'm going to go find my husband I found my husband sitting on another couch in front of the store I told him what had happened and he said that's not acceptable we'll go to furniture Fair so he lost a deal with us which possibly could have been 3000 plus dollars because he chose to answer one question and then continue to answer their other questions why I was in the middle of a transaction so I would never go there again I was very...

What a gem! My 11-year-old son and I had an incredible time exploring The Basement in Jacksonville this past weekend. We’re both big thrifters with a love for all things fun, whimsical, and unique, and this place was an absolute gold mine!

The staff were wonderfully helpful, jumping in to offer guidance whenever we looked like we were on the hunt for something special. While the store has a great selection of furniture, don’t be fooled...there’s so much more tucked inside: collectibles, what-nots, books, music, movies, trading cards galore, jewelry, accessories, wall art, home decor, nostalgia, and more.

Prices were very reasonable, and the atmosphere made it such a fun experience. We’re already looking forward to our next visit the next time we’re in town. A must-stop for any thrifting or...

Edit: Feb 24, 2022 I've now been to this place several times and really like it a lot. Yes, some of the items are quite expensive, but they also have a lot of awesome deals as well. The owners and staff are very nice and super helpful. This is one of my go to stops every time I go thrifting. Changes rating from 4 to 5 stars, well deserved.
