Dollar General — Local services in Jamestown

The manager “Jesse” decided to detain my 9 year old in the store accusing her of stealing gum. She wanted to spend her allowance money and put her gum back for some other snacks. When she got to the register to pay the lady told her to give her the gum. My 9 year old told her she put it back and she didn’t have it. In which she told my daughter that she can’t leave to store and to empty her pockets and shake out her hoodie. When my daughter complied she still didn’t believe her and insisted she still had it. Told her she better give her the gum. I went in tonight to confront her about talking to my 9 year old like that and telling her she can’t leave the store and she was the most unprofessional, distasteful woman. Refused to give me her higher ups number. Laughed in my face and told me if I wanted to report her I can scan the QR code on the door on the way out. Then refused my son to buy his snack. No wonder this store has the reviews it does....

Numerous times now we have gone to this DG location and the older lady that always wears a hat has given us nothing BUT trouble! One day I was checking out and she just continued to stand there playing her game on her phone on the counter... there I stood bagging my own milk. Then just this last weekend we went there to pick up a few snacks and other necessities for camping my fiancé was holding our daughter and rang the bell twice since. The same older lady who always wears the hat walked up behind him and YELLED IN HIS FAST to "STOOOOPP!!!" Then what was believed to be the staff members children behind us in line yelling at him also saying "STOP! SHES COMING!!!"

We will certainly be making the trip to Walmart vs Dollar...

I went to the store today for some party decorations they did not have any selection, and when I did find tissue paper that I enjoyed, I went to check out, tapped my card and the transaction went to another transaction. There was nobody there to help for me and when one staff did come in they said they were off the clock and then grabbed another staffwho was on their phone the entire time they tried to help me so I couldn’t even tell them what the problem was. Worst service I’ve had I could’ve stolen everything if I wanted to. (I left with nothing because I’m not supporting this...
