I go to the bank and I'm told to sit and wait for the banker. I wait for 20 minutes and the banker shows up and takes me to his desk. I tell him I lost my wallet and need a new card. He asks me questions to get me my new card, but then gets a phone call and starts talking to his buddy about his buddy's life and his buddy's girlfriend and his buddy's plans and vacation. I look at him funny and he remembers he has A JOB. So then he finally gives me my card.
Then I realize I lost something, so I go back and ask if they have a lost and found. The lady at the counter says no. Seriously, no lost and found? So then I see the same banker coming back and I look at him and ask if they have a lost and found, and he says yes. I look back at the lady and she says "Yeah we have a cabinet we put lost stuff in." She lied about there not being a lost and found. No apology, no humility, nothing.

The only takeaway from this bank, (and it isn't the staff's DIRECT fault, perhaps, as they don't have jurisdiction over this) is, the disabled person's "push button" that opens the front door is often broken. I walk with a walker and can open it with my hand, but it's kind of awkward having to pull a walker through the door with one hand while holding the door with the other. It would be great if that automatic "open door" feature was up and running more often. Other than that, it's a smooth bank with great employees, and the online banking component it just as tight. Read moreThe service at this Wintrust Bank is outstanding. I came to this location because the coin counting machine where we normally go to was broken. I called theor contact center and told them about this location and they refereed me here. As I approached the front door a young gentlemen opened the door for me and politely explained the coin counting machine in Sauganash was also broken and suggested I go to Elston and Pulaski. He was very polite, and I have never been greeted before at a bank.
