Subway — Restaurant in Jefferson Township

I was in the mood for a sub.Since I was in the Sauganash Village area I stopped in to get one to take out. Plenty of parking. Wheelchair access. The lot is always busy. This was early afternoon. Two people sitting along the back wall at a small table. There is also counter seating along the front window. One person there. The place was clean. Working and eating areas. Adequate lighting. The usual ads on the walls, well- lit. Easy to see all the ingredients were fresh. I got hungrier standing there. I noticed they have breakfast offerings and some "healthy" offerings for kids. I did not try the new signature wraps, meal deals nor the new sauces - which do sound good: herb garlic oil, balsamic sub sauce or basil pesto. I kept it simple. Had the foot long roast beef on Italian Parmesan with provolone 🧀. Warmed then lettuce, 🍅 🥒 onions. Maria, who was one of two workers there, seemed surprised when I declined spinach but was able to recover and add vinegar oil oregano and mayo. Bread was crisp, fresh. The combination tasted great. I also had a Macadamia 🍪 which had a couple of pieces of chocolate for some reason on it. No biggie. Price was not unreasonable considering it was not the daily special and had multiple ingredients. It did not take long at all to get my order. It was not noisy at all but I had a little trouble with the acoustics, and a little trouble understanding Maria. She was kind enough to repeat anything I did not understand, and that was not an issue. Great food. No delay in getting my order. Staff was pleasant. No one talking to each other, ignoring the customer, that I saw. Apart from the cookie having a little something extra, no issues. Allow a little extra time. Be a little...

I don’t know if they were closing thas why the guy was very rude. I was there around 8 something and they close at 9:30 but he was not happy at all he wasn’t following directions I thought it was a language barrier which I decided to speak Spanish and he also didn’t understand so I got kind of a up sad the sandwich was kind slappy all over the places the way he did it. so I was not very pleased with it I ask for the manager he couldn’t do anything about it he didn’t give me no information whatsoever he didn’t wanna give me a refund he didn’t want to make me another sandwich so I was not pleased at all with the service I left my sandwiches so they still owe me $24 because I didn’t take my sandwich and he didn’t wanna give me a refund and he didn’t wanna give me no information about who to call regarding...

So sad to say, because we are local and my kids love subway, but never again. The girl gave me wrong change and accused me of not knowing what I gave her, or what I have in my purse. She was rude beyond... It used to be customer was always right. One star for the other girl who took over and called the manager. $10 is not little wrong. I made them to look with cameras how much I gave her. If they did or not, I'm not sure, but after 30 min of arguing and waiting she finally gave me my money. The rude girl should be fired. Totally...
