United States Postal Service — Local services in Jersey City

Not sure who the man is that works Mondays here but this isn't the first time he has done this. First time I sent my wife over here and he doesn't provide tracking for a ground package and charges her for an envelope package with no tracking info. The past monday she goes in again and charges her for the package which is a small box, I do it all the time and have been doing it for years. He tagged on an additional $4 to the cost of shipping. Now, after doing my research on it. That ONLY applies to packages like tubes and other mailers etc. Can't tell me that this is a new policy that went into place in August 2025 as I have shipped multiple packages in August and September at different post offices using the same sized boxes AND doing ground shipping and only paid for the shipping cost. Make sure you check your recipts before leaving the post office. This guy will definitely try to get 1 off on you if you aren't paying attention and if you are a female. I go here all the time and the usual gentleman that is here that I talk to is not here on Mondays it seems. I will be complaining about this to him and already complained to corporate and if course they cant follow directions either. You tell them to follow up on email and they call you...

This post office is incredibly frustrating. The system seems to be down almost every day, forcing me to drive to other locations just to get basic services. Sometimes it’s even closed in the middle of the day with no notice or sign outside — very unprofessional and inconvenient.

I don’t understand why the system is always down here when other post offices nearby are operating just fine. Beyond that, the building itself is dark, uninviting, and downright dirty. Often there’s only one poor worker trying to juggle helping customers and fetching packages from the back, leading to long waits.

no stars for this place the laziest worst post office in the entire United States. This government office lacks leadership and dedication to duty!!!!! As a veteran of the US Marine Corps I can tell you by my professional observation that these government employees need remedial training! If I could give no stars I would! My packages always come up missing every time my orders go thru this agency. There is no over site here they do as they please.
