Mauricio’s Restaurant — Restaurant in Jersey City

I visited this site and I did not like the negative energy displayed by the older lady and her son who was cooking on the grill. An older man ordered food to go and then he changed his mind and said he wanted to stay to eat in the location. The short older lady, whom I seen slam the business phone on the floor out of anger over the orders, went to scold the older man who changed his mind. That man could have been any one of ours grandfather who went to the location and spent his cash to be treated like a child. Very shameful. I voiced that she needs to relax and the cook stated that was his mother, which was besides the point. Soon after 20 minutes of waiting, I told a worker who said hi that I was simply there waiting for my food just in case they were wondering why I was standing at the bar and the cook, said to me “ you can wait”. Very rudely. Please do better and respect our elders. Besides that, please be hygienic while cooking the food. I had to cancel my order when I seen one pick up dirty gloves from the side and wear them to continue cooking. All that speeding and fighting in between the workers in front of the customers just to prepare a roll...

These are all the exact reasons why I go to Maurcio’s. They’re Family, My morning Tradition, an AMAZING breakfast experience, and definitely on my daily to do list.

Mauricio and his son Frank are the most genuine people you’ll ever meet! They have the memory of an elephant! As soon as you walk in they know exactly what you want and how you like it. Just go there once and I promise you they’ll have your order down pat!

They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day however not only do you get breakfast but you’ll be greeted with a big smile and the jokes start coming in! Nothing better than starting your day off with a good laugh!

The food is amazing, I couldn’t tell you what try although EVERYTHING seems like the most acceptable answer!

Oh my goodness, I cannot think of one bad thing to say about Mauricio's. I was staying in New Jersey from way out of town, so there was a long period of hard struggles to learn and discover great places to eat. Let me tell you, Mauricio's hit the spot when we needed it most! We were looking for high quality Italian food and we got just that! Not only was the food superb, but I got a lot of it for an affordable price of $12.95. I ordered a Filletto Di Pomodoro which came with a great and flavorful salad, fresh bread, and fettuccini with prosciutto, marinara sauce, and onions. As well as the food being heavenly, the service was also heavenly. The staff provided friendly and efficient table service. They were wonderful people who really bent over backwards to make sure we were happy and everything came out in a timely manner. I was stuffed! I would definitely return if I am ever back...
