I had an appointment with Candy going from a redish/brown with box color at the ends to blonde. Candy did amazing at explaining what the best steps to take to get it to the very blonde I want over time so there was no damage to my hair and the best maintence plan because my hair is a stubborn pain. I have servere anxiety and Candy put me at ease because of her personality and being straightforward with expectations a very great customer service and I am so happy with step one. While I was there and I'm totally nosey I overheard a conversation between another student Nate doing a haircut and the sweet way he talked to his client and the positive/supportive way he was made me say what a great person he was and I didn't actually sit in his chair. He did a great haircut as well but his personality was so great it made my day. I fully recommended Candy and Nate! Great work and amazing personalities. They will be a great asset to the field when they graduate. I left feeling beautiful and heart happy.

I just had my hair cut there and I asked for 9-9.5 inches off. They cut 12-13. I wanted to donate it and the stylist cut it off at an angle with my personal ponytail still on. Every single time I've donated my hair before (6 or 7 times) they have sectioned it off into 4-6 sections so the scissors don't have to saw through the hair at an angle. It was a waste of time and money. I was never apologized to by the stylist. And to top it off the blow dryer was aimed as close to my scalp as possible so it burned and now my scalp itches. I am spending more for it to be fixed someplace else and I guess I will wait 6-8 months for my hair to grow out so I can get it cut the way I wanted.

DO NOT GO HERE! The express YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR IS SO ACCURATE WHEN IT COMES TO THIS PLACE.JUST LOOK AT MY PHOTO THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE AND I PAID FOR THIS!!! Also when I called she told me they forgot to put bond and seal on😔Don’t waste your money just go get a real service from a licensed professional and go home happy! I wasted 3 hours and paid money to get these lashes done and no one can even tell I got them done. This is so embarrassing and they should be ashamed of themselves to even charge people for this kind of service, and they REFUSED TO REFUND ME MY MONEY. I would never ever recommend a beauty school, this was my first and LAST TIME!

Got a gift card for my birthday 5 months ago. 5 months...that's how long I've been waiting to get into this place. Just to get a couples massage and a couple of facials. When I got the gift card I called and they told me I had to wait until after December because the day spa had no students available. First problem, how can you call yourself a full service day spa if you don't have people working it? I understand it is mainly students, but if there are no students then you shouldn't even be allowed to post hours like you're open if you have no one working in there. Moving on, FINALLY got an appointment in January. I kid you not. We get in there, fill out the paperwork, sitting waiting to be taken back to our rooms, and a teacher comes out and stated that one of the students is not coming back from her lunch so they could not accommodate both of us. Second problem, you have students that don't come back from lunch? And you have no back up plan for any appointments. No contingency at all. You have teachers for a reason. Have 1 of them step in for Christ's sake. Lastly, they reschedule our appointments for March. Today to be exact. I called a week ago to confirm my appointments. The girl I spoke with told me "Yup, we have you in here for March 2nd at 1pm for 2 massages and 2 facials." Cool! Right? Nope! I called today to confirm again just to be safe. And after being on the phone for 20mins they found that my appointments are not today they have them scheduled on 3/9/19 @ 1pm. I exclaimed that is not what I was told several times. And of course, just to remain consistent, there was nothing they could do about it.

Mind you this was supposed to be a birthday present from 5 months ago. I'll be going in there today and requesting the money refunded back to me and I will take that money and go pay for a real massage, at a real spa, that's far more reliable than this place will ever be.

Waste of time,...

I had heard horrible things about this school but had inquired about their nail tech program because options are limited. I didn’t get a good vibe initially but still scheduled a tour just to see things in person. The woman made it seem tours are mandatory and that I had to come on nail tech days because I need to talk to current students. Fine, thought it was a bit ick but whatever, scheduled for a day that doesn’t usually work with my schedule. Call it divine intervention if you will… I ended up having a massive flood at my house and left a voicemail to cancel the tour right when they opened that morning. I also stated I’d reach out if interested in rescheduling because I still didn’t have a great feeling from interaction one and lots of friends/family reviews. Since then (this was in May), I have received tons of voicemails, emails, and texts. I was able to block texts and emails but the voicemails were rude. Multiple people called with a condescending tone speaking of my ā€œmissed tourā€, referring to my interest in the wrong program, and wanting me to reschedule. I get it, you want people to enroll, but I said I’d call to reschedule IF INTERESTED STILL, I haven’t answered any calls because I usually sleep during the day due to my current schedule, and it’s been two months! Get a hint. Today my husband heard the rude voicemail and he called back. He politely said I had called awhile ago and said I’d reach out if interested and that I no longer wish to be contacted. The woman literally hung up on him. No ā€œthank you for letting us knowā€ or even just saying okay. Why would I give you any business in the future not that I plan to. Found another highly recommended option. But seriously weird, desperate, and rude...

I want to first start off by saying I'm a former student and this post isnt to bash the school, but this post is being made because their problem isnt' with the student body but there is a problem with how the school is ran and who is running it. There are many talented and great students that when they start school they are upbeat and eager to learn but as the process goes on that same morale isn't there bc the school overall on how its ran and how students (certain ones) are treated is depressing, stressful and gloomy and at most times no structure and consistency, contracts aren't followed. All students should be treated the same not just the ones they deemed important or special. There are some students who show up and show out everyday but are not given the same respect and recognition as some students who don't show up or do not do what they paid the school to do instead they are coddled and the students who work hard have to pick up their slack. My thing is, this is a school and if things are not being done or if students are having problem why is the school administrator not doing anything to help them, Or when I send an email it's not sent to the appropriate people or the administrator tells me that they arent going to read it. I would like to know what is La james does to fix this and is it something that the school does not deem important? So many student have complaints, So why is La' James not addressing those? Maybe you have but no one has ever contacted me with the emails or complaints that...
