I'm reading the reviews about Private Appliance and I noticed one common thread about most of One and Two star Ratings. Most of "them" ( IE: People) forget what there almost the entire source of their business stems from Damaged & Repaired Products. Whether it be ...slightly damaged, major imperfections, replacements from products Under Warranty, Factory Defects that are Replaced with brand new product's by the manufacturer or products that were damaged in shipment or arrived to the primary retailer with damage or became defective. It's unlawful for the manufacturer to sell Them as new, so they sell them to places like this. Thats we Visit , Buy, Sell and have repairs done at places like Private Appliance. That's I bought a $2,000 Samsung Smart Oven for $700 dollars...Deli Now C'MON! We all know and have to assume some of the risk, as we all can't forget... there humans too. So, if you don't want to take a slight risk or purchase an appliance and items that are not normally within your financial reach, there's usually plenty of options available to pay full price for something you have to accept because you can't afford what you REALLY WANT? So, stay away from "mom and pop" stores and head to The Big Box Stores, where your sure to get what you DON'T want and leave with...
Read moreBought appliances there for years. Recently bought a refrigerator and gas stove. The stove was delivered and installed. Come to find out, the stove is gas not propane. Needs a converter kit. After several phone calls, and over a month later a service person shows up. The service person tells me there is a $90.00 service charge as well as another $40.00 for the kit. Never once, was there a service charge mentioned. The original installer told me that they usually have a converter kit with them. A call to the sales manager that I bought the appliances from, did not go to well. He tells me, that I should have known that the stove needed to be propane. He says, what do you expect, we do this for free? I finally ask for the number of the owner(freddy), and this guy says " you know what, I'm all done you" and hangs up on me. I will be contacting the Attorney Generals office for their opinion. Live & learn. You just cant beat Lowe's or Home Depot. Oh, and by the way. I gave them my original stove that I bought from them that worked fine. My wife just wanted brushed nickel, not white. That didn't make a difference either. Good luck, NEVER AGAIN...
Read moreWas having a cooling issue with my refrigerator over the weekend and called them on a Monday. They said that they would be at my house on a Wednesday since they had other calls to respond to from the weekend. It's understandable and had no issue at all with that. The service person arrived at my house and was very professional and courteous. Turns out that there was ice build up inside from behind the wall of the freezer. The service person got rid of the ice and stated that we would need a new blower fan evaporater and that the shop would call me with a price for that piece. They called me that same week Friday and stated that nobody had the part in stock and something about them having to special order it and it would cost $375. Now, me and my wife did some research and found the part for $56 and some change. Ordered it and it was at our house in two days. We were able to install it ourselves. Just be wary consumers...
