Review:
My recent visit to Crudo was a significant disappointment. Here are the main reasons why:
Ambiance: The noise level in the restaurant was unbearable. My Apple Watch measured it peaking at 83 decibels, with an average of 71 decibels throughout the evening. The lack of sound-absorbing artwork made conversations difficult and unpleasant, adding to the overall discomfort of our dining experience.
Service: We were a group of 12 celebrating an adult birthday. The service was extremely slow; it took a staggering 90 minutes for our food to arrive. Additionally, the dishes were brought out inconsistently over 15 minutes, meaning the last person to receive their meal had to eat alone. This kind of service is unacceptable, especially for a group celebration.
Food: The food quality did not compensate for the long wait. I requested a different pasta with my chicken parmesan, but I was told it wasn't possible because that pasta was only available with shrimp dishes. This rigid policy forced me to skip eating the supermarket-boxed pasta they served. The marinara sauce was bland and lacked any distinctive flavor. The chicken itself was just good, nothing exceptional.
Overall: My experience at Crudo was far from satisfactory. The combination of excessive noise, slow and inefficient service, and mediocre food made it a place I would not recommend. I certainly will not be returning to...

Crudo you have done it again and again! Rocked me to my core!
We had amazing service!
Drinks the phony negroni and the caramel expresso martini amazing!!
Bread was fresh baked and warm!
The shellfish Oysters, little necks, shrimp cocktail served with an amazing mignonett and a house made cocktail sauce and horseradish all as though they were plucked from the ocean today!
The entrees both specials tonight were a braised ribeye agnolotti with a port wine demi- glaze and dollup of goat cheese!! Tremendous!!!
The Duck Confit cooked in its own fat cooked perfectly whith crisp skin and the meat fell off the bone the sauce was a wild cherry demi and beneath an amazing potato puree ! This was to die for!
And last but not at all least a house made cherry cobbler with vanilla Gelato and cherry mousse and Their Butter cake that melts in your mouth with fresh peaches and again the vanilla Gelato!! But the owner Jeff Merlino brought us out a fresh blueberry Gelato that he had made personally and it was second to sex!!
When I say that I have had great dishes in Rhode Island but nothing to the caliber of the crew here the Chef Joeseph J Christopher Aquilante is a rising star!
Thank you all for an exceptional evening and you know we...
Read moreWell I've been here quite a few times now. My wife really likes it here. The last time which was a week ago, I was disappointed. I ordered the cioppino and left hungry. 2 clams, 2 scallops, 2 shrimp and a small chunk of fish. Definitely not worth the 36 dollars. I have ordered cioppino at many other places and the bowl is usually full for the same price. That's a turn off for me. Fill the bowl. Put some calamari in there. It's cheap enough. Anywho, the bartenders are great, I'll say that much. I usually sit at the bar because I believe you get much better service. Another note, this restaurant doesn't like to bend with substituting much. Can't get this with that..etc. not much of a deal breaker just an annoyance. The things I do like is their brunch seafood Tower, the filet, and their penne in vodka sauce. All good. Do not order the calamari unless you're going to eat it by yourself because they give you nothing in that appetizer you get 6 to 10 rings and then peppers it's not worth it trust me. The best thing you can get is the chicken parm or anything from the Josephine Street menu because that's a reasonably priced and you get a lot of food. Other than that I think this place charges a lot for food and doesn't...
