I am writing to share my deeply disappointing experience with Cambria City Flowers regarding florals for my wedding. Our interactions, which began via email and later in person, revealed several issues that were never resolved.
Issue #1: Bouquets In my initial email on May 19, 2023, I provided inspiration photos of bouquets featuring a variety of white flowers with greenery. During our in-person meeting on November 17, 2023, at 11:00 AM, I brought additional photos. Although two of these photos showed bouquets with only roses, we ultimately agreed to include a variety of flowers, specifically including tulips and âother spring flowersâ to add texture and depth to the bouquets. Chad asked me to email him the new photo and I sent the photo of our revised inspiration bouquets on November 17, 2023, at 11:46 AM at the end of the in person meeting while still at the shop. I also followed up with another photo on December 16, 2023.
On the day of the wedding, however, Chad delivered bouquets composed solely of roses, which did not reflect our agreed-upon vision.
Issue #2: Aisle Runners We requested floral aisle runners featuring white roses for the ceremony but received only greenery in the vases we provided. This request was explicitly discussed in person with Chad and my husband.
Issue #3: Welcome Sign I requested a floral arrangement for the welcome sign but received only greenery. Again, this was not what we had discussed and agreed upon.
Despite these discrepancies, the most troubling aspect was the customer service we received post-wedding. I reached out to Chad via email on June 26, 2024, to address these issues. My email was polite and professional. A photo of it is included in this review.
After a week without a response, I resent the email, repeating this process weekly for three weeks. After 25 days with no reply, I sent one final follow-up, stating that I wanted to give them one more chance to respond or make things right before I posted a review.
Finally I received a response from Chad stating âGiven that you took 46 days to initially reach out to us on June 26, 2024, and never requested a reply within a specific timeframe in that email or any of the subsequent emails, we believed that we would be given the courtesy of at least the same time span of 46 days to reply. Threatening our companyâs reputation and publicly defaming our character unless we responded to you (without a specific timeframe requested) and/or âmade it rightâ (implying a monetary refund) has irrevocably changed the dynamic of this interaction.â
He then proceeded to have a lawyer send me a cease and desist letter, which contained errors in my name and address. The letter stated that no monetary refund would be given, as it was determined that Chad had fulfilled the request. It also included photocopies of two photos of rose bouquets that I had given to Chad during our in-person meeting. However, as stated above, we ultimately agreed to include a variety of flowers, including tulips, to add texture and depth to the bouquets. I sent a confirmation photo of our revised inspiration on November 17, 2023, at 11:46 AM while still at the shop as he asked me to do and followed up with another photo on December 16, 2023.
My emails were kind and factual about the discrepancies. I explained why it took until June 26 to reach out (I was on a 2 week honeymoon after & ultimately hesitant to raise the issue).
The response from Cambria City Flowers was unprofessional, especially given the significant investment and trust placed in their services. They accused me of threatening their companyâs reputation and defaming their character. However, leaving an honest review does not constitute defamation.
I have factual evidence and dated emails to prove that I did not receive what I requested. Their response showed no effort to work with me on a resolution. Their failure to deliver the agreed-upon arrangements and their subsequent handling of the situation reflect poorly on their commitment to customer service and satisfaction. I do not...
Read moreCambria City Flowers crafted breathtaking flowers for my wedding. Chad put so much thought and sentiment into the arrangements. He incorporated the same peach roses that my husband gave to me in my prom bouquet. Their small grocery store with Italian imported goods, Amerigos, is the best place to find delectable gifts for vendors and family. Chad used his creativity to made special gift bags for my vendors, and all that I had to do was give him a price range. Their bar, Alchemie, is where they transform mixing drinks into art form. Chad and Steve have created the most unique small businesses, and they infuse every detail with love...
Read moreI am so glad that I found Cambria City Flowers to do my wedding. They were so helpful during the planning, execution, and facilitated my floral preservation. During my initial meeting with them they helped my mother and I figure out exactly what we would need and suggested a few things we hadn't even thought of. They come to the wedding to deliver your flowers, decorate the church, and they even pin all of the boutineers/corsages on your attendants. You will get an incredible product from them and at a great price. You cannot go wrong with Cambria City Flowers, they are the nicest people, and truly love...
