Weigel’s — Local services in Jonesborough

Updated review. I appreciate the manager of the store acknowledge this is not their practice for food service. I still like this station and Weigel's in general, so I'm increasing my star from 1 to 3.

Posted a week ago: This used to be a fav snack stop. I go here regularly for the no-fee ATM & snacks. However, today I saw one of the food staff carrying out wrapped burgers to put out for sale under the heat area/display. As she left the kitchen she dropped a sandwich on the floor, looked down & kept walking to put the food on display. I thought she would go back & pick up the food & throw it away. Shocked that another employee behind the counter picked up the sandwich off the floor, handed it to the first girl & she put it on the food area with the other sandwiches to be purchased!!!!! 2 stars for the ATM, fresh made food, sorry zero,really? What else did they pick up off the floor...

(Update) Weigel’s, today hove earned your fifth star! Everything that I wanted to see an improvement on has been done so exceedingly! A truly wonderful customer experience in every way! Thanks for stepping it up in just weeks!

(Previous Review) My Weigel’s experiences have been pretty great so far. I like that they have a 100% Gas option because I drive a ‘78 Nova occasionally. The place is clean and well kept and they even serve sandwiches and pizza. It’s really the kinda thing Jonesborough needed on the way to Johnson City. Still, there’s some room for improvement. I find that the kitchen service is especially slow and subs are not always made accurately. What’s more… there’s not a lot of Zero Sugar drink options for those of us with health issues. I guess these are things that will improve with time. Still, very friendly...

Weigel's is pretty decent. The store is always clean and the food from the food counter in the back of the store, which includes pizza and subs, as I recall, seems fresh. Not the usual convenience store fare. I have tasted their turkey sub sandwich and their pizza. Pizza was good. Didn't care for their choice of sub rolls, which are only white bread so no selection there. For my personal taste, the sub rolls were too thick and dry.

Their gas prices are good, normally, but you can only get their cheapest gas price if you sign up for their membership and then you have to link your bank account to your member card, which I refuse to do.

There is no reason whatsoever that Weigel's needs my bank account number.

Staff has always been helpful...
