Today on 11/2/17 I decided to visit your Jonesborough store owned by Mike. 5:11 Arrived at store 5:12 Placed order for a small cheese stick for our son 5:15 I get the buffet and wife gets a salad 5:30 I finish eating. Son and wife waiting on food. 5:35 I go to ask Cassie about cheese sticks as it is really long time and multiple pizzas and cheese sticks had been brought to the buffet but not to our son. Chelsea chimes in and says itâs because of our weird request with the cheese sticks. I advise nothing was weird. It was just a plain small cheese stick. Cassie then informs it is in the oven and should be about done. 5:43 My wifeâs pizza request is brought out to her. This was put in a minimum of 10 minutes after my sons cheese stick order 5:45 Mikeâs daughter brings us our cheese stick. It is well over cooked and has literally no cheese in part of the center. When I pushed on the top there was no cheese and it broke apart instead of being moist. I asked my 9 year old if he we eat them. He says no. His daughter then rolls her eyes and smirks when I say they are over cooked. I then proceed to explain my situation of waiting and this is totally unsatisfactory to have waited all this time to get overcooked cheese sticks. Her visual absurdity spoke volumes and thought I was over reacting that my child had to wait that long for cheese sticks and for them to not be cooked right. I also advise her we have been coming there since they opened at least once a month if not more often just to get him cheese sticks and they have never been this poorly made. She said she made them and didnât see the issue. She finally offers to remake them. I ask him if he wants them or something from somewhere else. He says he wants the cheese sticks. She advises since it is a âconvectionâ oven it will take 6 minutes to cook and 3-4 minutes to prepare. We agree to wait. 5:47 Mikeâs daughter comes back to advise us they are in and she told them to pull them out of the over super early. She also advised she is the ownerâs daughter and her father is the owner for some reason. 5:57 She then brings the cheese sticks. I donât think they look great compared to the normal quality but my kid agrees to eat them. I ask her for a box because it has been nearly 50 minutes since we started with groceries in the car. I thank her and box up his food. 6:00 I go to find Cassie to find out if they split tips or keep. She said they split as I felt her service itself was exemplary. She said they split. This was disheartening as she showed the best attitude. I apologize for the situation and thank her. 6:02 I go to pay. The ownerâs daughter comes to the thing and says donât worry about it. I go to protest as my food and my wifeâs was good. She instead asks me to come over to the side. I do so. She tells me that every single time I come in we complain. I advise we only complain if something is wrong. I was slightly confused at this point. She then tells me I have caused a scene every time and customers have taken notice. She then tells me I yelled at the top of my lungs at someone named Miranda (No idea who). She then said I wrote or called corporate about Chelsea with lies and false accusations the other day (Yet again no idea). I then tell her she must be mistaking me with someone else. I donât yell at people. I donât curse at people. I havenât contacted corporate on Chelsea despite her attitude and horrible service. I did tell the manager there before about her failings and not left a tip. I explained if I had a problem I would talk to the owner Mike and then escalate it if necessary but I donât know what she is talking about. She continually responded with MMMKKKK. I asked her for specifics of when this took place and she couldnât give me any. I asked for documentation, proof, dates, camera, anything because I have no idea what she is referring to. She then informs me she has the right to refuse service without cause and is refusing it...
Read moreOur pizzas were not made to order. Instead of taking responsibility for THEIR mistake, we were treated like we were the problem. RUDE service. I don't know how they stay in business. Would give zero stars if I could.
UPDATE: 9-30-18
It's been two years since my original review, and sadly, we have had another issue with the Jonesborough location concerning our order. We love Pizza Plus. We've been loyal customers for 25 years. They're a great company. BUT...this particular location has an issue. They won't make things right if a mistake (on their end) has been made. I spoke with the owners daughter last night over the phone about a problem with our order. In 25 years we have had an issue a handful of times, so we are not the kind of people to make petty complaints. But once again, we were treated rudely and were told there was nothing they could do about it.
I've come to the conclusion that they are cheap and don't care about the customer. This was confirmed to me when I told her we wouldn't be coming back. Her reply..."ok...goodbye."
Pizza Plus has great pizza, but the Jonesborough location has a lot to learn about...
Read moreEvery time Iâve ever eaten their buffet, salad and pizza, itâs great. Donât even think about ordering delivery from them. Every time, itâs cold pizza, under cooked pizza, Iâve even have had the manager come out and inspect the undercooked pizza delivered, Because apparently he âpersonally inspects every pizzaâ. Donât let me forget, cold subs, no mayonnaise, no lettuce, no tomato! I called them and explained my concerns and they said âDonât order delivery from us anymoreâ And I talked to the manager, it was a female that said she was manager, but I know Iâve been there in person and talked to an older man who said he was manager...multiple occasions. They just issued a credit for the dollar amount of my last order. $23.97. Dine in, but donât waste your time or desire on ordering delivery from...
