Kalona Chocolates — Local services in Kalona

Lovely little local chocolate factory. The selection isn’t huge, but everything I tried tasted so good. The hot chocolate and the frozen hot chocolate tasted delicious and I usually don’t like hot chocolate. Their dipped Oreo decorations were cute and I personally preferred the ones dipped in white coating over the chocolate coating. The raspberry milk chocolate truffles tasted amazing and I would say they were my favorite. The salted caramel chocolate was another yummy pick. The staff were super friendly, answered questions, and didn’t mind my indecisiveness until I picked what I wanted. Definitely worth a visit and I would recommend and come here...

We had a groupon to go to the kalona brewery, and we ran across this tiny chocolate shoppe while in town. We bought a pound of chocolate, it was a bit pricey but its so indulgent you only need a piece or two at a time. I crave chocolate like a mo fo when "aunt flow" is in town, and something about this chocolate helps with the cramps. Best chocolate ever. So glad the husband found this little shop in kalona. It'll be worth the hour and a half drive in the future when I run out...

We order the small bundle every year to send to our donors, and Kalona Chocolates does an AMAZING job! I ordered over 100 different bundles to go out less than a week before Christmas and they were prompt, easy, and super friendly while emailing back and forth (fixing mistakes I made!). I'm super thankful for this partnership and looking forward to ordering again...
