As a Veteran I was very disappointed. I am from NJ, a Navy Veteran and long time American Legion member. I was visiting the city on 4/12/25 with my wife who was attending a family shower. I had some time to kill and stopped by. I explained my situation, wanted to have a drink and meet some other veterans and had my American Legion and military ID in hand. I was told by the bartender, after asking someone else in charge, that without being a VFW member that I could not stay and was turned away. Damn shame that nobody there could have signed in a fellow Veteran for a short time. I know in my American Legion that we have NEVER turned away anyone who has been brave...
