I really wanted to like this place.. But boy was I disappointed. I was in the area with my girlfriend for our anniversary, and we were looking for places that have vegan options (she's vegan) and table 105 came up. I called up a night before to ask them what vegan options they have, and they listed a variety of different options that all sounded good to her. We arrived the next day for lunch, and were greeted by sour faced waitress who made it seem as if she was doing us a favor by serving us. When we looked at the menu, we saw that some of the vegan options that were listed to us had non vegan components, and we asked if it was possible to substitute those components for something vegan friendly (the naan had butter on it, and the burger buns were made with butter as well), and the waitress said that she doesnt know and only when we asked her to check with the kitchen she finally agreed to grumpily do so, and said that there is nothing to do about those items. now, dont get me wrong, it is 10000% fine to not have vegan options, but saying you have them BEFORE we come is just not okay. realizing she doesnt really have many options, my girlfriend asked if she can just build her own pizza and get it without cheese, to which the waitress says is a good idea as she can add vegetables. I also ordered a pizza, and asked if there were any interesting sides and the waitress mentioned they had risotto, and when I asked how much it costs (it wasnt on the menu) she replied "around $3". we got the food we ordered, it wasnt bad but definitely nothing special or particularly good, just bland overall - also the non vegan food i got. when we got the bill, I was shocked to see they charged us $2.25 PER VEGETABLE on the vegan pizza, which made a cheeseless pizza cost an outrageous $20!!!!!! and not only that, the $3 risotto ended up costing $7!! twice as much as the waitress said. we decided not to complain as we felt like we had enough and there wasnt anything to really argue about, it's all things that are just rude gestures and we wanted to get out of there. I almost never write negative reviews, but this was just over the top, and probably the worst restaurant experience I've had in a while. All in all, I do not recommend this place and I think they should rethink how they...
Read moreAfter hearing many positive things about Table 105 we were finally in the area and decided to try it. It was dinner time (530) and the restaurant was about half full.
It took a few minutes for the hostess to seat us but all was fine. We then sat at our table, next to the bar for 15-20 minutes waiting on our server to arrive. Once again, not that busy at the time. She arrived took out drink order and we had to stop her as she was running off, we wished to place an appetizer order. She took the app order and off she went. The bar took a while to get us out drinks but not the end of the world.
The waitress took out order, brought out the appetizer, asked me if I'd like another drink. She brought the second drink as we ate the calamari (would not recommend). Our meals arrived shortly after and I said to my dinner guest, I guess we are not getting our salads. The waitress never returned to ask us how everything was, but when she did return she said, "Did they not bring you your salads?". My reply was, "No, it is not a problem. Please do not worry about it.". She said we should take them home. My biggest question is, "Who the hell is "they"? Isn't it her job to ensure we get what is ordered?
At this point we were done eating our meals. One was over cooked the other under cooked. The waitress brought us boxes and our salads prepackaged, dropped the bill off and left. She never asked us wether we would like anything else or dessert. Apparently we looked like we were in a hurry, we were over weight, or just didn't need anything.
I do not care how much food costs as long as it is good. The overall experience was very poor, the food was fair to midland at best, and pricing was extremely high for the low quality of the meals. Charging $6 for a draft beer and $2 extra for a Cesar Salad we did but receive is a little over the top. It's Kane, PA not Pittsburgh! To spend over $100 for two meals and have this experience is unfortunate.
We wish you best of luck but the entire experience was poor and we will go out of our way to avoid this...
Read moreI have come to Table 105 several times and while we normally enjoy our time here, my last visit leaved something to be desired. I took my family here for Mother's Day expecting a full menu + their special Mother's day menu as was pointed out in their Facebook ad.
Unfortunately, when we arrived we were told that only the Mother's day menu was available. Not only that but when the server arrived we further found out that the entrées were not going to be served until 4PM. This left us with a very limited breakfast menu. The ad was described as "Brunch" but the ..unch part of that was missing.
We do enjoy Table 105 but I could have gone anywhere for Breakfast. Not to mention that I was ready to spend the money for Table 105's delectable Prime Rib (2 of them mind you, mine and for my wife) but alas, we ended up eating eggs and cold ones at that.
To put the cherry on top of the visit, we ended up seeing later guests be given regular menus after we had already ordered meaning that we could have at least gotten lunch rather than cold eggs. The host would later tell me that he had just learned that regular menus were also being prepared. I suspect this was after we watched several groups of people leave after looking at the limited menu.
Due to the layout of McKean county anywhere you go is at least 30 minutes away so being hungry we did end up staying and the meal was ok (other than being cold) and the drink my wife ordered was very good. I did explain my displeasure with my visit to the host and while he did listen, no solution was offered.
Table 105 is one of the best restaurants in the area and frankly I do expect a lot from them and this is why I chose to go there for mother's day rather than another restaurant. In the future, I believe we will stick to regular visits rather than going here for holiday menus as the staff clearly is unable to adapt to changes...
