Although the wines were alright, the older employee (receipt says Amy P.) soured our experience. Alumni weekend in Kane is going to be a busy time, but she was sure to push us to hurry up although we were the only four tasting at the time. There were barstools at the tasting counter, but she told us we weren't allowed to sit during a tasting. So we stood up next to the vacant barstools. She then asked if we were planning on purchasing anything before asking us our first tasting selection because the party before us "stiffed her," and she wanted to make sure we weren't going to waste her time without compensation. We hurriedly chose four wines before purchasing a bottle for fear if we didn't, the next tasting group that walked in would hear how we "stiffed her" and wasted her time.
Upon receiving my check, I used the QR code printed at the top of the slip to pay with my phone. She approached me a moment later to ask for my card. I explained that I scanned the code and was currently paying on my phone, to which she rolled her eyes in disgust.
I tip for pleasant service; this was not. I will however leave a tip for the owner: Your employees are the face of your business. You may look into a "face lift" before this woman runs all of your business out the front door. We won't...
Read moreI'm going to be honest in my review. I am new to the area and have been to this restaurant about 3 times. Overall the food is good and the setting was amazing. The servers were excellent and my personal waiter, named Ben Peterson certainly knew what he was doing. Not once did he make me feel like I wasn't listened to and he even helped me change my meal after my complaints were made and was very understanding about it. He listened even when your new manager didn't. On the other hand, the new manager, I think her name is Michelle. I am not giving a good review about her. I specifically told her that I wanted no onions on my food when she asked if I was enjoying my meal. Onions always give me headaches and terrible stomach pain. Instead of letting anyone know she didn't do anything. Didn't even say sorry for the mix up. I'm sure the chefs probably didn't even know and I do not hold ill will towards them at all. However if someone is gonna be your manager then please teach them better than that. It's bad enough that I can't eat onions but I'm also pregnant and I feel like she ignored my problem completely. Again, I do not hate the place overall but I probably wont come back if someone is going to look over my issue so absent mindedly as if it...
Read moreFrom start to finish the experience was terrible. When we arrived we were standing around awkwardly waiting to find out if they seated us or if you find your own table. Finally we just sat down at a table. After about 10 minutes of sitting at a table, a kind gentleman at the table next to us reminded the staff that we still had not been waited on. We ordered drinks and our food. We decided on a Cobb salad and a Flatbread. Half an hour later we received our Flatbread (which was delicious) and a Cobb salad. We had to ask for the dressing, and then realized there was no chicken on the salad. Ordered two more drinks with only one being delivered. The chicken that was finally brought out was rare. At this point we decided to cut our losses and pay for the flatbread and drinks and left. Went next door to the 105 table and had a delicious cobb salad in no time. The staff and kitchen need a lesson on customer service and simple food preparation. Save yourself a headache and...
