Greenhouse Road Landfill, Lp — Local services in Katy

Will not come here anymore. The staff at the window is unnecessarily rude to me and my drivers. They will often make up prices because they don’t know how to quote it. I have brought dirt here to this landfill for years it used to be free then they upped it to $20. This week I come in with the same type of dirt I have always brought and it’s $70 because there is grass in it. I dump the load and there’s maybe five pieces of grass.

There have been countless times I have sent my drivers to dump at this location expecting the price to be about $150. My driver calls me and the price would be almost double. They charge by the cubic yard but there have been times they have included the cubic yardage of materials that we are keeping in our trucks and not even dumping.

The only good thing I have to say about this location is that I’ve never gotten a flat tire on site and the men working at the dumpsite are...

Dishonest, price gouging, greedy, stupid games. I have been going to Green House Landfill off and on for years. Even if you have the same lowboy trailer with the same material, they charge you different prices (few dollars not a big deal). Recently took clean fill dirt. The lady on the right-side window must think it's a game to stick it to the contractors, wanted $84.00 at first, I reminded her its clean fill dirt $36.00. Next morning same clean fill dirt wanted to charge me $75.00. She said she could not accept it because it had 1 small root. They were having me dump the dirt by the trash right next to the bed mattresses day before. MIKE needs to fire her. (cocky older blond). It's OK, they are one of my customers also. We had pulled up in a U-HAUL full of yard waste and furniture. I got out of the truck and greeted the Hispanic lady with dyed hair and asked about her day. Immediately she just snapped “Whatcha got”. I opened the truck and showed her, she maybe looked for 5 seconds before telling me I can’t go in because I have food waste. I said we just loaded this and we didn’t put any. She touched a bag and said “ew it’s wet see”. I said “maam it’s wet because it’s yard trash.” She just kept saying “nope” and she walked off giving no resolution or apology. I even tried reasoning and asking if I can just take out whatever she thinks is food trash and she refused. Extremely rude and unprofessional.
