UPDATE: After my initial review, the owner, Trang, reached out to me and attentively listened to my concerns. She acknowledged that they were still refining their booking system and explained that the person scheduled to perform my service had an emergency due to her sick child, for which she had to leave immediately. Trang graciously invited me back to give them another chance, and I just finished experiencing another service with Houston Vietnamese Head Spa, this time with Alyssa.

Alyssa was not only sweet but also punctual, and we discussed my previous visit. Trang encouraged me to smell the products to ascertain if the unusual scent I had noticed before was indeed from them. After sampling all the products, I found no trace of the previous scent, validating my earlier concerns. This visit was devoid of any issues with scent, reaffirming the importance for businesses to be acutely aware of such matters. Alyssa provided an excellent service, and I appreciate her expertise.

However, I found the spa "outfits" still to be a bit snug in the elastic. Trang explained that they were custom-made, but as a size medium weighing 150lbs, I opted for the largest size (5x) for comfort. In the future, I plan to bring my own garment to avoid any discomfort. Additionally, the YouTube playlist experienced minor glitches, repeating the same music segment, but this didn't significantly impact my overall experience.

The blow dry went smoothly, although I used my own products. I did notice a high-quality spray oil by Leaf, which I gladly utilized. Despite my extensions still being wet underneath when Alyssa deemed me finished, I finished drying them myself to avoid encroaching on the next client's appointment. I may bring my own hairdryer next time to ensure a seamless transition.

I tipped Alyssa 20% and am considering returning in the future. I'm intrigued by their plans to open a new permanent location later this year and look forward to experiencing it.

Loved my experience here with Ada! Man this was so overdue for me and it melted away my stress by the time I left.

First off, my surroundings do a lot for me in these kinds of spa settings which is why I appreciated the closed room, the outfit change and the dim lighting+music. Really set the mood from the get go and helped me relax. Ada explained things to me very well and got me all settled.

I feel like they truly plan this to be a spa for your “head area” and not just your scalp. I was prompted to have my makeup removed which I was initially confused by but I did it and understood later. They incorporate a mini facial and facial massage as well as massaging the arms in addition to the scalp treatments.

The scalp portion was soooooo soothing. I could tell she double washed my hair, my scalp felt nice and tingly the second time. Don’t know what happened after that because I fell asleep but I know massaging was involved.

I woke up feeling so so refreshed. We then moved to do leave in treatments and blow dry. Ada was very gentle with my hair which is what I requested as I have pretty thin/prone to fall hair.

Overall a great comprehensive experience for the price in my opinion. I didn’t feel rushed at all.

I recently had the most wonderful experience at Nhien Head Spa, and I can't recommend it enough! From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed by a beautifully decorated space that exudes tranquility and relaxation. The ambiance is simply perfect—soft lighting, soothing music, and a calming aroma that instantly put me at ease.

Tran, my therapist, was absolutely amazing! She took the time to understand my needs and tailored the treatment to ensure I got the most out of my session. The head spa treatment was incredibly rejuvenating, and the mini facial massage was the cherry on top! I felt all my stress melting away as she worked her magic.

One of the standout features of this spa is that they actually blow dry your hair afterward, which left me feeling refreshed and fabulous. It's such a nice touch that sets Nhien apart from others. They also have comfy large silk robes.
