Shipley Do-Nuts — Restaurant in Katy

Have had multiple bad experiences at this store. The kids working here just dont care about customers. Have walked in before around 1pm and no one was working the store front, all the kids were in back off screwing around. I had to yell for someone to come out after waiting around. Also have pulled up to the drive through speaker at 530am and no one had headsets on. I waited and waited with no response to requests for service. Had to finally pull up to the window and honk my horn and waive just to get service. As for the food, the doughnuts in the morning are extremely sloppy prepared and the kolachs were hard bread with very small sausages for filling. At least 1" of dough on ends. Been to this location multiple times since opening. The donuts are subpar and the kolaches are piss poor. The kolaches have been hard every time I went. Sausage and cheese, sausage jalapeño and cheese, and boudin kolaches. Not once have I had one that wasn’t hard on the bottom. The kolaches in general aren’t very pleasant to eat, I just get thru it because I paid for it. My guess is the heat from the warmer is continuing to cook the kolaches as they sit causing them to burn/harden. The filling for the boudin was abysmal. I went today 07/28 at 7am thinking my experience would be better in this establishment, yesterday I went for and my food was raw and hard. Today I bought 2 glazed doughnuts and 2 chocolate doughnuts as well 2 kolaches. The doughnuts had too much dough not edible and the kolaches were hard once again.
