From the various Latino markets I've been to, this has been the gold standard for me. This is a big place (even among the locations in this chain) that also has a heladeria and taqueira inside and a very nice produce section. The heladeria has a variety of ice cream as well as other sweets which has some very unique flavors. They have other treats and even aqua frescas. The price is reasonable as well. The taqueria has some of the best varieties of tacos in the area as well as my favorite lengua tacos. Not necessarily my favorite masa torillas but I love that their tacos are served with all the fixings and you can get your choice of salsas to flavor it. Also try the quesabirria and birria ramen (weekends only). The dining area is also very convenient and has plenty of space...and decently OK to park your cart there. The best part of the grocery selection is their produce as they have some of the best tomatoes and peppers in the area. Also, they have good deals on the weekend for items like Roma tomatoes, jalapenos, etc. I also love their selection of sauces and that they even have some Brazillian items (not as much as a couple of the other places but I appreciate the variety). Overall the store is nice and tidy though the aisles can be a little crowded, especially on the weekends and the parking lot can be tricky to get in and out of as well. The meat prices are also comprable to other stores in the area as well and I did enjoy their pollo bistec (boneless chicken leg quarters). If you are in the Western Bench of Salt Lake County, the Kearns Rancho Market will likely be your primary one-stop shop for your Latino goodies.

What a ridiculous staff (Karla the manager) I purchased a tres leches desert and attempted to purchase a single person tres leches cake. Both weighed about the same. The cashier said the one in the pic was .99 cents and the cake was $3.99 I said well that doesn’t seem right. I don’t speak Spanish and she wasn’t quite sure so she asked her co-worker than the cashier walked to check the price. Came back and said it’s actually $4.99. (Mind you there’s no price tag for either product) The price tag was for Flan! I told her no thank you I will just get 2 of the .99 cent ones. So I did the switch, getting the rest of my things rung up getting ready to pay and the manager walks by and my cashier says something to her in Spanish. The manager looks to me and says that sale ended last week those are no longer $.99 cents there $1.79 do you still want them? Wait what!!!! First of all I bought 1 last week and it wasn’t for no $.99 cents more like a $1.50 and all my stuff is already rung up and now you’re telling me if I want them I need to pay almost double. Moral of the story is Rancho Market and it’s management decides on prices based on the person. Smith’s makes a tres leches that will do just fine.

I really like coming to this location (Kearns). It's very spacious and a lot cleaner than the others. Their food is usually fire at their indoor restaurant, but lately these past 2 times I have come to get tamales they have been VERY DRY as if they were made a week ago and left on the warmer smh it's very frustrating to spend your money on something to eat and it comes out old and dry. So for anybody that goes there to buy tamales I suggest you check them before you pay and leave. Other than that I haven't had any other issues.

The store it's ok, love the store and products, the problem happend today as i was walking to my vehicle the manager approached me accusing me in front of other people of leaving my kids outside unattended, and threatened to call authorities, i understand and appreciate the concern, i agree its wrong when parents do it, i have my self call the police before on this kind of situations, the problem was that my father in law was in the vehicle with my kids, managment or security personal didn't bother to go check before wrongfully accusing me and my husband, and not even apologizing afterwards, it was embarrassing and it was not ok! I hope next time they check before accusing customers and for sure apologized after making this kind of statements.
