Bad...Bad...Terrible & Selfish Attitude. Lack of kindness and consideration for others, especially the homeowners. Contracted for a small 1/2 hour simple job of replacing a small piece of ducting, a $150.00 job. Job was done, but the workers, his sons, busted up the crawl space cover, didn't say anything about it to us, hoping to walk out without telling us. They were told to be careful with the cover when we noticed during the inspection they were a bit unconcerned and when they came to do the work, we cautioned them again to be careful, but they ignored the considerate warning. When we, the homeowner saw the damage, they stated in a demanding manner "to pay the full invoice amount or we will take the ducting out". We called the owner, their father who was mean and inconsiderate and stated the same thing. No one at this company, the owner or his sons was considerate of the damage, not even telling us they did it or kindly offering to deduct, pay, or replace the damaged cover. This was a simple but time consuming cove to replace, but they argued and refused to take any responsibility. Then the owner said he would call the Sheriff, and the Police came out. Police were very nice and stated there was nothing they could do, we must pay the bill and if you want to, you can file a small claims court case. This Company, Samuel & Sons displayed a very bad ,selfish, inconsiderate and ruthless attitude by both Father and Sons who wouldn't even tell us, the homeowner they caused some work damage and then showed an unconcerned selfish attitude and only wanted payment instead of kindly and generously admitting and telling us they caused some small damage and we're willing to either deduct or replace their damage. Be very, very careful with this Company as they are very selfish and unconcerned if there are any problems. (They don't even smile!) The owner is mean and manipulative and tried to pass off the damage as if it was our problem. There is only a long drawn out small claims court process for recompense which is non-sense when simple kindness, reasonableness, consideration and fairness is demonstrated, non of which these people were even willing to even consider. I got a recommendation from a coworker who son in law works in HVAC. He recommended Samuel & Sons Heating & Air and I was able to schedule a same day quote. Cody gave my mom an estimate and emailed me the quote since I am out of state. The quote was very reasonable and my mom approved the quote the same day. Cody and his team was able to install the new AC and heater system on the next available business day. I just spoke to my mom and she mentioned the install team did a great job and were very courteous and professional throughout the installation. This is important to me since I am out of state and leery of some companies that try to scam senior citizens. Overall the installation was very successful and Cody mentioned he needed to follow up for a heater part that needed to be ordered in a few weeks. I am sure this will be handled in the same professional and courteous manner. I highly recommend this HVAC company for anyone local to Kemper. I rather support a local company. The son. who came to my home, was polite and professional. However, once the job was completed and there was an issue, the wife and husband (family owned business) became difficult. They not only were dishonest, the husband yelled, and admitted he "pays people" to do the talking for him because customers don't like him. I told him he was making too much of the situation and just needed to listen to the problem and find an amicable solution, but he would have none of that. The man was belligerent, unprofessional and a womanizer. - He stated he would rather speak to my husband, hung up on me and called my husband's cell phone. When I answered he demanded to speak to my husband. I advised that I was the one who was handling the situation and he would need to speak to me. He yelled some more, offered to rip everything out, and be done with it. When I did not back down, he stated. "I am done with you" and disconnected the line; hanging up on me for the second time.
