I recently took my laptop into a local computer repair shop, and the experience was nothing short of disappointing. From the start, the place seemed unprofessional – it looked run-down and was filled with overpriced refurbished items, clearly targeting elderly customers. But that’s just the beginning.
I agreed to have my laptop diagnosed, but was told since it was New Year's Eve, the shop would be operating on a half-day schedule and would not be able to work on my laptop that same day. I left the store, drove home, and within 15 minutes had already ordered a new laptop online. Less than an hour later, I called the shop to cancel the diagnostic and was told that would be fine.
I also inquired about data transfer fees for my new laptop since my old one was completely dead. I got the information I needed but decided not to proceed with the transfer.
Fast forward to today – I received a voicemail saying I owed a $47.50 diagnostic fee. When I arrived to pick up my laptop, I tried to explain that I had called to cancel the diagnostic, but the staff insisted the fee was still owed. To make matters worse, when I got my laptop, it was in pieces, almost as if they had disassembled it just to show they’d "done something." The scammer then told me he never received a call from me when I asked to cancel but does remember when I asked about transfer questions, weird because it was the same phone call.Starting with saying they completely checked every part of my computer in an hour to feeding off bits of information I gave him, he finished this argument yelling at me the customer, saying he did the diagnosis because I asked for transferring data…… complete joke. By the end he could look me in the eyes after the lies I called him out for.
In short, this place is a scam, particularly preying on elderly customers, and I regret not trusting my instincts sooner. Be cautious if you're thinking of using...
Read moreThis was the worst experience ever. We got a router from them and it was only 2 months old. I called them to simply ask if it was going bad and how to troubleshoot the device. The owner then began to scream at me saying i was screaming at him trying to get a yes or no out of him, and was completely irate on the phone. It is a shame nothing can be done about these local business owners it is basically there way or nothing. I would highly recommend you go somewhere else for your computer needs. Surely if you run a coputre store you should be able to answer, or trouble shoot simple questions with out going irate.
DO NOT GO TO THIS...
Read moreI'm currently getting a home surveillance and monitoring system installed in my home. PMC resolved and issue that I had with service work down to my PC about a year ago. When protecting my home they were close to me and I was easily introduced to the surveillance and monitoring system at their store. I called Koorsen fire and home security, but they weren't able to respond as well as I could be speaking directly with Mike and his staff. I often don't give these high ratings, but Mike resolved any issues I had. This was a big purchase and I'm sure their installation will be very...
