Rocky's Corner Food Mart — Local services in Kenmore

I have been a 3-4 time a week shopper at Rocky's for a long time. At first I loved it. Now that my son is old enough to walk there, things have changed. Him being young, they over charge him on EVERYTHING. To take advantage of children is sickening. I no longer allow my son to go there.

I still frequent the shop though and always double check my charges. Watch your debit purchases. They always add $1.00 and do not tell you. I will be filing a complaint with the BBB as well.

Today was my last draw there. I needed to run there to meet my mother in law. I have two sick kids. Ages 2 and 8. I needed to go inside to get them medicine for home. My MIL was going to take my youngest to the emergency room for me because he is so sick. We decided to meet there. She parked in the farthest corner of the parking lot to move the kids to her car. She was not blocking anyone.

As soon as I got there the man whom I often see behind the counter, the older man not the younger gentleman came out and yelled at us to move. We said sorry and we are just transferring the kids. We moved faster. 30 seconds later he as we were strapping the kids in the car he yelled from the front of the store that he was calling the police on us in a very threatening voice. He startled both of my children to the point of my two year old who is running a 103 degree temperature and on the way to the ER crying hysterically. My 8 year old asked if he was going to get arrested.

We were there a total of 90 seconds. Not blocking anyone, and far away from the store. I was planning on going in and buying something as well. We did nothing wrong to warrant him threatening, yelling and scaring my children. This was unbelievable. I am so upset at the way a grown man would treat and yell to two young children and two woman for no reason. He is despicable!

Moral of the story. Watch how they charge you and avoid this place...

Uhaul rental- engine light came on to check the gas cap leak. Attendant was nonchalant and immediately was aware saying it's not an issue. Not sure how long that had been an issue. Reserved rental for 4 pm return, I called notifying them I'd be 15 min late. He was very understanding and said not a problem, take my time and drive safe. Traffic got worse but I arrived 4:22 pm. Owner met me outside asking if everything is clean because I like my things cleaned and ready for next renter. You're late, usually I would charge you another $40. Reminded him I called ahead of time to clear with him. I initiated telling him gas is refueled and have to transfer my moving blankets, straps, and dolly to my car. He opened the truck and once again unnecessarily remind me he likes his stuff clean and if not I'd be charged $200 cleaning fee. As if I was gonna leaving my moving supplies for him? If you don’t ask for the prices on something that’s not labeled they just make up their own prices based on what they think you’ll pay, it’s unfortunate I think it’s one of the owners that normally works there during the afternoon and he always does this.
