Gabe's — Local services in Kennesaw

After all of the hype, I was looking forward to shopping at Gabe's. But therein lay one of the problems. Sometimes the store is open and sometimes it wasn't. It was all the buzz on Next Door. On a casual drive down Canton Road, lo and  behold Gabe's was open.

The space is huge, absolutely huge. But that should be no surprise to anybody who visited the store when it was Pottery ..... The layout of the store was confusing and crammed full of whatever department you happen to find yourself in. When you first walked in the door that's the children's department. Thinking women's must be somewhere nearby, you'd be wrong. Women's department was way far to the left next to a extremely large department of scrubs. Who knew?

But the big disappointment outside of the disparity in prices, some items were extremely inexpensive and others not so much, was the quality of the items. Don't get me wrong I am not a high-end shopper. You're more likely to find me in a thrift shop than a name brand store. The clothes felt like 100% inexpensive polyester and that was consistent between departments. As I went from crowded rack to crowded rack I figured I would find some clothes in a blend or heaven forbid even cotton. That was not to be. At least not in this visit. But alas there won't be...

I absolutely LOVE this store! As a plus-size woman, shopping for clothes has always been a frustrating and discouraging experience for me. I often left stores feeling defeated because so little ever fit—let alone made me feel good about myself.

Yesterday, after searchigg three different thrift stores, we happened to walk into Gabe’s—and I was blown away. For the first time, I found an incredible variety of clothes that not only fit me, but actually made me feel confident and beautiful.

I left with a huge haul, and I’m already planning to go back. It honestly felt like I could build my entire wardrobe...

LOVE this place!! Loved it before as Olde Time Pottery! Now, I’m even more obsessed! Dropped $200 without thinking about it- you easily get lost in the store. I recommend you do a full outer circle walk, and spiral in to the center. Don’t miss anything! There is at least three STEALS on each aisle with great deals flooding the floor. Love it. Employees were helpful, happy, and working...
