Husband brought my laptop in for a cpu fan replacement (mine was getting noisy and I wanted to be proactive to keep the laptop running long term) on my alienware m16 r2. We had called ahead to get quoted and it was recommended zthat we replace the GPU fan as well and told it would be about an hour. It was dropped of on friday. I believe on Monday he was called saying it would take 2 hours because it was more work than they originally thought and the cost would increase. I should have known right then an there it was a mistake to bring my laptop here. By wednesday they had replaced the fan but then broke the mousepad and internet connection and then they couldnt fix for a reasonable cost. To replace this laptop with even a refurbished one is $1100. They offered us a $700 Lenovo or $550 cash.
So two core functions of my laptop now do not work and I dont even have the money to replace it used.
We settled on taking the $550 cash and not paying for the fan replacement and my laptop back. But they couldnt be bothered to deleted everything they downloaded onto it when they tried to fix the problem they caused to begin with or re download drivers thats they would have had to have taken off because they were on the laptop before it was brought in. And now I keep getting error pop ups that dont even pertain to what I was told was messed up.
Whats the point in a laptop that i can't use the mousepad on and doesnt connect to the internet? I understand that I can buy extra things to combat those now issues but that is 10000% beside the point. I shouldnt have to becuase of your guys negligence. This whole experience has been nightmare for me.

Read moreI just wanna start off by saying that size doesn't matter because these guys are a very small shop but when it comes to service and getting something done RIGHT, these are the kinda people you are gunna want on your side! I use to have a huge company service my laptops as a matter of fact, I'm sure everyone heard of the Geek Squad from Best Buy. Well after paying them $199 to service my sons laptop and in a matter of 2 1/2 days, 5 different computer techs tells all different things, I ended up getting a call back from absolute after the hectic weekend I had with best buy because I had originally left a message for these guys to quote me, but I'm always so impatient and had to get it right away instead of waiting but luckily I got my refund! Anyways, Tom from Absolute Computer Systems calls me back and in a matter of 3 minutes explains what he could over the phone and said to come on in and he'd take a look so as soon as I got there, he opened it and knew right where to go for every little thing, not like these young kids that know about some stuff but not everything and the people at best buy are ALWAYS trying to upsell you but not these guys! They knew every answer I needed and bam I knew they were awesome! I went back and got my refund from best buy geek squad because they suck! And now I have absolute computer systems and wouldn't have it any other way! I was 99.9% sure my motherboard was fried and it was. They offered to move my files to a USB drive. I said fine even though I could have done that myself. Then the church I recommended to them something similar happened to them. They went to pick up their drive which had super sensitive financial info on it and were given my drive!
