We are always on the search for fantastic authentic Mexican food and we have been coming to this place for a few years. The food seems to keep getting better and better on every visit. My wife found this place, while working and had fallen in love with it. I’m so glad she brought us here to eat too.
The chips and salsa are always good. Today was Sunday and they were really busy. Most of the tables were taken and there were lots of food orders to go. I’m glad this restaurant made it through the pandemic because their food is delicious.
Our little one loves the verde chicken enchiladas. My wife tried something new and ordered the fried poblanos stuffed with ground beef and cheese topped with a red sauce. These were some of the best poblanos I’ve ever had. This dish will definitely be one of our favorite dishes moving forward. Luckily my wife was nice enough to share some of her meal with me.
I always get the Super Burrito with steak. On my last visit I was a little upset because it was literally missing the steak. I know that steak prices have gone up but skimping on the filling never makes the customer feel good. I decided to go with the shredded chicken and I was happy that they didn’t skimp on this protein. The shredded chicken was super tasty too and will be replacing my steak craving.
On a personal note I wouldn't call it Super because it was more of a Normal size Burrito. Super needs to be like three inches off the plate on both sides or as large as my head. Forgetting about the semantics of words in the menu, I cut my burrito in half to enjoy. The burrito is loaded with chicken, beans, cheese, tomatoes, onions and lettuce. I also ate the burrito with my hands. A fork and knife should only be used for a wet burrito. This chicken burrito was really tasty. I’m totally back in love with the burrito again.
The staff is super nice and the food is very authentic. There’s a tiny window where you can see the chef but she looks like she wants to kill me when I peak in. She probably doesn’t want me stealing her cooking secrets.
Pro Tip: There's a cool dive bar next door called Clay's Tap. I’ve heard that they will let you carry in the Mexican food from here. The food would pair nicely with...

I would have rated this place a solid five stars if not for the ambience. Don’t get me wrong—many people enjoy a quiet, tranquil dining experience, but this restaurant takes it a bit too far. It could really benefit from some soft background music to create a livelier atmosphere and enhance the overall experience. With just a bit more noise, it could become a perfect five-star lunch spot for authentic Mexican cuisine.
Now, let’s talk about the food—it’s absolutely outstanding! I give it five stars without hesitation. This place delivers exactly what it promises: authentic, homemade Mexican dishes prepared from scratch. The flavors are reminiscent of what your grandmother might serve in a traditional Mexican household. They cook with pork lard, which adds a unique and rich taste to their food, making every bite memorable.
I particularly recommend their potosinas—a delicious twist on the classic quesadilla. And if you visit, don’t miss their champurrado; it’s simply amazing and the perfect complement to their dishes.
If you’re looking for genuine Mexican flavors in a homely setting, this is the place to go. Once they add a bit more ambience, it will undoubtedly become a...
Read moreThe food is great and the prices are also great but I'm not understanding the service at this point. My son and I came in to have an early dinner and their hours are posted to close at 8:00 p.m.. The lady greeted us but told us that she could not accommodate us because there were full and this was 6:30 p.m., luckily a lady and her daughter got up and left so my son and I were able to get a table. It took quite a while to get our food even though they're still seating according to covid requirements and social distancing. What was surprising to me was that after we sat down she allowed three other people and their families to come in. Today I called to order food to go at 7:00 p.m. and I'm told they cannot accommodate my order. I guess I won't be going back there since the rules seem to change depending on...
