It’s a multi-booth resale store that sells Trump caps & novelties in the storefront. So don’t expect an “antique mall” lol.
(The woman who owns Stitch in Time also owns another resale store 28 miles away called “Endless Treasure”. Google map search it to see the mountain of negative reviews that established location has received. At the time of this review, it is the first and only review for this less than 6 month old resale & novelty mini-mall. I’m confident sellers and friends will soon be asked to contribute)
This was our third & last visit to “A Stitch in time, Antique mall” in Kentland, IN.
Our first visit was around their opening and we found one vendor who priced reasonably for the location and we bought multiple items from them.
Our second visit was a month later. We were the only shoppers & saw that the reasonably priced seller was gone & replaced with more exorbitantly priced items, so disappointed we left not buying anything.
On our third visit, two months after the first visit, we found the space empty of buyers yet again. We were disappointed that little had changed as we saw the same unreasonably priced items we saw on the first two visits.
So at this point we find Stitch in Time to be a time waster that is better served staying on the road and getting to our destination faster.
Comment for sellers: If sellers want those alluring high selling prices, they need a very large number of potential buyers. Note that similarly priced online resellers get a average of over 6,000,000. Shoppers a month. Items can still sit idle for months or years before it sells. Those markets also have built in safeguards, accountably, ratings, return policies, buyer safety net etc, etc.
If you priced like it’s your neighbor who’s buying, I’d think you’d do...
Read moreI wanted to share my nightmare of an experience with the community and prevent anyone else falling victim. I rented a uhaul at a stitch in time antiques. The owner waited a few hours after I left and called me saying I can’t leave my car there even though the last time I rented from them they told me specifically I can park on the property. When I came to return the uhaul my vehicle was gone. I have a handicap 4 year old daughter and her wheel chair was in the car that was towed. The owner said my car was towed because I am not a stick in time customers even though they rent uhaul. I had to walk with my handicap daughter to retrieve my vehicle and pay $100 to the tow company! The lady was rude and had no remorse for me and my handicap child. Her business go against everything this community stands for! Compassion, community pride, family and respect for fellow human beings. I urge you to please use extreme caution when patronizing this business. And I leave you with this, ask yourself, is this the kind of person we want doing business in this community?! To be so rude and heartless to have no remorse for her customer with a handicap child. This is not the kind of Christian thing to do or way to be! What a shameful way to do business. Very disappointed but I will pray for her that God will guide her to have more compassion. Thank you all for...
Read moreI like the variety available, At Christmas shortly after they opened the owner fave me an artificial tree for a couple who didn’t have a tree and later in the month for a man in the nursing home. She also Donated a custom letter jacket to someone in need. You can spend hours here, every booth is different !there is new mattresses and several booths for the men and their tool addictions. Several booths have milk glass and vintage items to take baby boomers back to their childhood. I would have given 5 stars but since they are still in the new stage organization and cleanliness. There’s always room for improvement. I really hope locals will support it And like not having to drive 20 min to an hour away to find resale shopping entertainment. It’s a...
