Aspen East Ski Shop — Local services in Killington

My recent experience at Aspen East was disappointing, particularly when compared to the positive experience my friend had at Basin Sports (a ski shop on the Killington access road) yesterday. While my friend was able to negotiate a favorable deal on skis at Basin Sports, my attempt to inquire about potential negotiation on end-of-season sales at Aspen East was met with unprofessional behavior. The sales representative, an older man, dismissed the possibility of negotiation and laughed, which I found to be an offensive and disrespectful way to treat a potential customer. I happened upon Aspen East the last weekend in February. I was on my way to another ski shop for a repair, and I couldn’t have been happier with the choice to stop in here instead.

PJ was patient and informative. He took his time explaining what he was doing to evaluate my skis and bindings, and kept me informed and involved in every decision regarding the service. He also offered guidance on the length of my skis and placement for my bindings, which was greatly appreciated.

Incredibly pleasant experience, and my skis held up perfectly for the remainder of the trip.

My husband and I went to Aspen East to try on stio jackets that I’ve been looking at online for a while. I tried on a few and then started looking at different jackets to compare. An older man came up to me and said “ the size is on the hanger on top” taps the hanger in my face and then said “duh”. I was unzipping the jacket to look at the interior. He then sat down on a bench watching me and mocked me. I am a local shopper and was going to purchase locally even though the jacket was $30 more. I left the store and ordered online instead.
