I want to give a big shout out to COLLIN and to LEE they made getting into what I wanted easy without trying to give me something I didn't want because of my credit. Unlike the CHEVY dealership 25 minutes away in SAINT CLOUD where I was told that I could not test drive the truck I wanted to purchase with money in hand and was told that I could drive a dodge journey or I was wasting my time because of credit. Not only did they do that they reject me once again a week later back in there to test drive and was given a vehicle that had just been traded in with no work done to it rust everywhere completely trashed inside and out and was asked if I wanted to buy I said HELL NO and left. COLLIN walked up to me greeted me and ask if I needed help I said what do I have to do to test drive that 2011 ram over there and said nothing let me grab the keys for you. Not only was he friendly he made me feel like I wasn't just a dollar sign. I don't jump to racially driven opinions but over at SAINT CLOUD I felt that their sales associates saw skin color and made an unconscious bias and thought I could not afford something nice. NOT the case at A.M. MAUS AND SON everyone there treats you like they knew you your whole life everyone is personable, the atmosphere is relaxed and not so pressured to make you buy what you don't want. Comfort is the main thing right now with so much uncertainty from one day to the next with businesses. LEE got me a a deal I could not say no to the WARRANTY SEALED THE DEAL for me and also the payment but the fact to know I was going to be covered if any problems to arise no trying to figure out how I'm going to take care of it. My credit was never even mentioned once put 200 down to hold it till Monday since it was Saturday and drove off into the sunset by 1030am Monday morning. I told these guys I would leave a good review for them I think this is better than good. Don't worry about looking...
Read moreWe purchased our Jeep from here 10 years ago, drove 30 miles to buy here. Brought it back for all maintenance and repairs since then. Never really cared for the brother in back, Cary, just figured his people skills were just subpar all these years. After our recent experience we will not return again. We had a large repair completed last week, after driving my jeep 3 times the check engine light came back on. So, I turned around and took it back to have it checked. When I arrived I was directed to the back to speak to Cary. After telling him why I was back his response was an extremely rude “And you are?” WOW…I give him my name. His response while turning his back “oh yeah, there were a few different codes flagging yesterday. I’ll have to run it in back and check it out.” As he’s talking he’s also walking away towards my Jeep. I call him back to give him the keys. When he returns several minutes later, like a complete 180, very politely tells me it’s flagging some thermostat code, it’s still drivable but will need to be replaced eventually. Then he proceeds to tell me the same code was flagging back in January when we had it in and it might have even been flagging prior to that but it’s not in their records. I promise you, not a single person ever let us know about that flag. I text my husband the details. Response: “ they should have replaced that yesterday, or at least checked it”. Husband calls and speaks to Cary. He lies and said the code had not been there. And had no explanation as to why it wasn’t checked or replaced, was very rude to him as well. At the very least they could have reviewed the flags with the customer and provide options for resolving the flags. Completely unprofessional and the rudeness was the cherry on top. Maus sons, your brother in the back just drove a customer away. It’s too bad too, because now we are locals and are in the market for...
Read moreI want to express how nice of an experience we had when test driving and eventually purchase of a Jeep product from AM Maus in Kimball. We left the ST Cloud market place after test driving some Jeep products to drive out to Kimball to see what they had to offer.
We did phone ahead to check inventory and discuss the possibility of a trade in. Steve was very helpful and inviting. We arrived at the dealership late into their day. We were greeted by the owner and due to a previous appointment he had to have Rob help us discover all that Jeep has to offer. Rob a fellow Jeep owner went over the features and model differences. Off we went on our test drive.
Upon returning, much was discussed and before we left the dealership we were presented with our purchase options. No waiting for someone to review things, no we will get back to you tomorrow etc.
We were able to put a deal together. Lee went over the details of the purchase, gave us some options for warranty extensions and additional things we may want to consider to add to protect the Jeep. Before we left the dealership the day we bought it, Jarod helped us get the necessary Apps on our phones etc. so we were prepared to take delivery after some additional services were done.
Delivery was right on time. The dealership staff did what they said they were going to do without disappointment. Steve and Jarod were ready for us when we arrived.
Jarod was available when we took delivery of the Jeep. He went over the Jeep from bumper to bumper with us. He did a good job covering all the safety features and electronics.
I will say that for us, the family owned, small town dealership appreciates its customers and its shows.
If you in the market for a new Jeep I would give Rob or Steve a chance to earn...
