We frequent here when we can however we are absolutely disappointed in our service.. or lack of tonight. The older gentleman (owner?) greeted us upon arrival & was very friendly. He gave us menus and said the waitress would be over shortly. In the next 25 minutes we watched the 2 waitress come and go. Both tables around us were sat after us by at least 5 minutes and they had their drink and food orders taken before we even were acknowledged. Once our drink order was taken, the older gentleman made them in a timely fashion but they sat there while the waitress chatted with an employee who was just got off their shift. She delivered our drinks eventually and told us she was going to give the 3rd table by us menus and she’d be back for our food order. Nope. She went and took their drink order & food order and then disappeared back to the bar area and the tables on that side. Unfortunately we had to be to Powder Ridge by 6:30 and by now it was 5:55 & given the rush that had come there was no way we’d be able to get our order in time. She eventually came back at 6pm to take our food order (at this point we had been there for 30 minutes) and we explained that we needed to go.
I’ve worked retail. I’ve worked the restaurant life. I try to handle every situation with grace but this was completely unacceptable. It was clear halfway through our time there that they had realized they dropped the ball but instead of acknowledging the problem the 2 waitresses simply ignored us. No apologizes we’re given and this is the first time I’ve ever had to leave a zero tip. Please let the waitresses know it’s important to be aware of your surroundings, if you make a mistake - own up to it. Don’t just...
Read moreIt has been a few years since we were last here(they used to have a great breakfast buffet), but the road closure on 15 helped sway us to stop. We were quickly seated and informed of their Saturday dinner specials. It was after 8p when we arrived, so dinner service was winding down. The side salads were ok - iceberg lettuce mix from a bag, but the breadstick was warm and fresh. Would like to see some mixed greens next time. I had the pork loin w sweet potatoe fries, my wife and son had the marinated chicken breast w onion rings. Both the fries(w cinnamon cream cheese dipping spread) and rings were excellent. The chicken was very good, and the pork was moist and tender. Each came with a cup of (canned) corn, which we could have done without, or substitute it with a fruit cup. Then came a very nice surprise - complimentary slices of angel food cake and a visit from the owner. The cake was scratch made that evening, and was so very tender and light. It had a wonderful almond glase, with an apporpriate amount of strawberries and whipped cream. Very well done - thank your baker! The Tripple R has had some mixed reviews, but also know that it has been a great establishment over the last 12(?) years. It sounds like they have been making some personnel changes and the owner is now more visible/hands on. We were thanked a few times as we left, and plan to come back again, sooner...
Read moreWe have been here before and has been ok, tonight was not good. they told us the waitress was her first night on her own, why did I have to pay for that, I had to go to the bar and get my own drink, and we waited and waited for our food, finial another waitress asked what we order so she could check on it because other people that came in after us were getting served, after that our waitress brought us someone else bill along with a credit card and I told her we have not even gotten our food yet and that's not our bill or credit card. Finally, our food came along with my salad which I like to get my salad before my main meal, Now we are done with our meal and we waited and waited for our bill so I went to the bar so we could leave and get out of there. I did tell them what we order and drank so they could give me my bill. We will go back in about 7 or 8 months and hope it gets better, We go out to eat 1 to 2 times a week but not here for a while, we only live 2 miles away, but I guess we will travel to get good service, The food was a 4 star but hard to enjoy with...
