I would never go back to Godwins ever again! I ordered and paid for a TV stand and couch. It took more than 6 months for the couch to come in. When they finally delivered the couch it was broken. The customer service was completely terrible. Nobody seemed to have any answers, I would call and ask for updates and I would get the run around. Same ole excuses everytime: The person that handles this is on vacation. There is no way I can look anything up, we don't have access to orders. You need to speak with your sales associate. Oh I'm sorry your sales associate isn't in, I will leave a message. I will have the manager call you back, she's on vacation, again. It was always the blame game, nobody giving any answers or taking responsibility. I finally received my "new replacement couch" 7 months later. They delivered me a chair! I had to once again wait and setup another delivery for the right couch to be delivered. I have asked to speak to the manager, have called there and still haven't heard back from anyone. I received the new couch about a month ago. I had asked the manager to call me so we could discuss what had happened. Haven't heard from anyone. The delivery guys were always excellent. Extremely polite and were genuinely apologetic of the inconveniences. Outstanding service from the front line people. Management and in store employees need some re-education. (Bay Rd location) Due to this experience I will never go back to any Godwins no matter which location. As a customer I did not feel valued...
Read moreI shopped the Bay Rd. store in 2015. I marked the tag on the floor model recliner that I wanted to purchase a new one of. It cost around $1,500.00 new in the box. I was told by the saleswoman that they had 4 new models in the box in the back of their warehouse. I decided to buy one and asked to have it delivered in the box because I worked Security at GM The recliner was delivered with no box, I was told to make more room in the truck and save time. The recliner was the floor model and was warped from use which is why I marked the tag on it. Sure enough, it was the one I marked and the old lady manager refused to help me for months until I ran into a man who set me up with a remedy It was finally replaced by the other store. I haven't ever gone back. Spend my money elsewhere where I'm not lied to and the service department...
Read moreTheir salesman called me to schedule our delivery, we picked a day 6 days out. I threw out my old furniture to make room for the new the day before agreed upon day for delivery. When I called about my delivery on the delivery date I was told the salesman forgot to add the pieces to my order and that they could deliver the next week instead. So I had to pick up my furniture in the pouring rain so my family had a place to sit. All I got was a sorry. I will never buy anything more from this...
