Tropical Smoothie Cafe — Restaurant in Kochville Township

So I went to this Bay Road location at about 8 ish and I'm guessing they were cleaning for shut down In a few hours. The young lady came from the restroom oversized sweatshirt and little shorts no hand wash just straight to the register to take our order. I ordered a beach bum with multivitamin and a pomegranate plunge with multivitamin. Then a group of ppl come in a few of them ordered beach bum as well but without multivitamin. Then a young man with messy dreadlocks comes out the bathroom holding a nasty kitchen towel away from his body with his 2 fingers no gloves saying "ewwww nasty" ok so he goes into the work area and immediately back into the kitchen area and begins to make smoothies along with the cashier who also didn't wash her hands. Also there was a young lady in clear view in the kitchen working with shorts on that gripped the slit that seperates her cheeks and my big drawers were longer than her shorts how offensive and unprofessional and disrespectful to the company and the customers. They had the tap water running so instead of the water they are supposed to use with the pump they just run all the blender cups under the tap then proceeds to make all the smoothies. The nasty hands with dreads begin handing out smoothies just yelling out beach bum, pomegranate plunge, beach bum so I was handed my two just to realize after I left that my smoothie did not have the multivitamin I paid for. And they are so not happy all the time but always want a tip! Here's a tip let someone else work there who really wants to work and who cares what goes into the customers body smh. Many locations around the world have law suits because of hepatitis and ecoli so becareful people these kids do not care anymore. Well let me get outta here and go to 7-11 and get...

Smoothies cost 2$ more(about 11$ in total) compared to at other locations for some reason.

The place was clean, employees seemed friendly and chatty with eachother. I was the only customer there, standing infront of the desk waiting for my smoothie after I ordered, yet they still somehow forgot I was there. They acknowledged my presence twice & were clearly aware I was waiting. When I finally got my one smoothie about 15 minutes later, it was watered down & almost completely melted, as if they made it, allowed it to sit for 10 minutes, and simply decided to never bring it out. Despite the fact that i stood there infront of the employees I had to verbally call out and ask them for the smoothie instead of them ever bringing it out to the counter. I decided against asking them for a new unmelted smoothie because I just didn't feel comfortable being in the presence of their challenged employees for another 15 minutes.

I visit tropical smoothie café quite often but this is my first time coming to this specific location, I likely won't visit again & do suggest visiting the one on state...

The manager of this location is very rude. Me and my sister went there today and as she took our order she seemed as if she didn’t want to be there in the slightest. When my sister asked what sides there are she just slammed the picture of the sides down next to her and didnt say two words about what they were. This also isn’t the first time ive encountered this manager; every other time she was just as rude. I’ve seen how rude she is to the other employees when they were just asking for help, and this past summer when she interviewed me for a job she acted as if there were 100 different things she would rather be doing. Save yourself the trouble and ask for a different employee to help you.

On a side note the food and smoothies are always good, as usual. Just need to get rid of the problem employees and hire people who actually want to help...
