Save A Lot — Local services in Kokomo

I've been shopping at Save-a-Lot since I moved to the North End in 2001. The People are both friendly and professional. Their Store brands on Dairy, canned goods, snack foods, and Frozen foods are ad good as any major grocery chain,, and, although the building is aging, I've been back to the Butcher Shop many times, when I bought cases of meat for my outdoor Catering Business, and that area a is as sanitary and modern as you'll find anywhere. I used to tell people, " You could do surgery in there it's so clean. Speaking of their Meat Department, both the quality and price of their meats are better than Krogers. As some of you may know, I'm a retired Chef, so I know a Lot about Food, and Save-a-Lot gets most of my grocery business. I only go to Kroger, Marsh, or Mejier for Brand name products, baked goods, and Produce not available there. Try it once, and you'll come back...

I will give them credit for all the things they have done to change it up and make it better. What I don't like cause I really don't understand is why is the cop in there for??? Do people really steal that much stuff out of the store??? The prices are good and all and it have a nice clean grocery store vibe. They have excellent staff there as well. I would say that they may need more lines for people so the lines can go a little faster and smoother. I would say if u want that safe feeling then this is the right place for u. Recommend going if u want to save money and have a little extra change in ya pocket for later on in the month. Be way better without the cop cause I just don't get why he is there...

My first review wasn't so great about a year ago because they didn't have enough healthy options at all. Now they're getting more of a healthy variety in raw produce and the meat is looking really good. There is some produce found here that I would have to drive to Noblesville to get so I am super happy on the continued improvements. I was looking for some canned sweet potatoes and pumpkin that were not in syrup and I couldn't find it. That's still a downer for me everything is in sugar syrup high fructose etc. being that the store is definitely in a food desert area I hope that they continue to bring in healthier options for those that can't drive further...
