Friendly Nails & Spa — Local services in La Mirada

First time there: What can I say, this is a friendly - and very Friendly place! I was warmly welcomed by a good-business hostess, asking if it was my "first time" here...and complimenting me in a way that rang true... The very clean and inviting atmosphere was a good start...

BUT see my second time there (way below) after my nice review:

Customers appeared happy here.

I was escorted to a big cushioned massage-chair for the pedicure to come. My quietly-friendly Vietnamese pedicure-artist also welcomed me with a smile as she "assessed" my tootsies :) - and shared knowledge here and there about one's toes.

Soothing Vietnamese music / crooning permeated the place. Not only will you find a respite here while toes or fingers are groomed, but the nail spa seems to take you on a little excursion to Vietnam. Loved it...

Your body can be chair-massaged while feet and toes are cared for with that music relaxing your overall being; you are dipped into a different and inviting culture!---: Who would imagine that "just having a pedicure", (even with good foot massage), could be so interesting?

Best nail spa in a decade for me. And prices are friendly enough, leaving room for nice-tipping for your pedi/manicurist. I think you will have a nice experience here :)!

BUT - a disappointment - SECOND TIME HERE:

• • I went back months later, waited patiently. Told them I had an appointment in West Fullerton coming up, so hopefully I was next (& I WAS next "in line" as such). Suddenly a man & his wife came in, and the operators took them right away! I explained how I was next, but they said he had an appointment ahead, and showed no concern for my time needs. I still waited, but no operator was available, nor was there any apology to me that I'd have to wait.

I walked out, no one even saying goodbye. That day it was a very UNfriendly place and I won't return. They had told me earlier, too, b.t.w., that they don't make...

Ya how about I get the $45 dollar package but gel on toes.... so $10 more. That includes paraffin or callus remover or sugar scrub. Why they thought it was OKAY to assume my choice they did what they wanted. I told them I wanted paraffin and she tells me $10 more. I asked why when both ladies just did what they wanted and didn't ask... so I get paraffin on hands and didn't want to wait to do on feet too... they charged me $5 for paraffin. Not to mention my finger got filed with filer and she nicked my toes too.... I've been going there for almost 10 years... I told him I was disappointed and I wasn't coming back the service was rushed and to charge me the $5 he could keep his 5 cause it was the last he would make iff of me and I wouldn't be coming back... didn't tip either! So disappointed. I should have just went to Anabelle. She is a great worker there! Thank you Anabelle for always...

Got a pedicure done there yesterday, first time in this salon. Very friendly, comfortable chair, no wait time, and Luna did a terrific job on my feet. I had gone too long between pedicures and my toes were a mess but she was really careful and to my surprise none of it hurt (that had not been my experience at other salons in the past so I was pretty wary this was going to be painful). Very reasonably priced, Luna did such a good job I really felt like I got a bargain. Will be a regular customer there...
