CostKutters — Local services in LaFayette

I shopped at CostKutters for the first time today just because I was in the area and just needed a jar of relish. Aside from their good prices, the store was very clean, all the things that a grocery store should be. I'm writing this review because the employees there were amazing. Mind you, I usually shop at Publix, Costco and Walmart having recently sworn off Food city. I have NEVER gone to a store where the employees are just genuinely friendly, not that forced fake friendly act that their employer forces out of them. The employees at this store were an absolute breath of fresh air and acted like they were just happy to be there. My husband and I of course purchased more than we went in for because they had good deals. We left with a bill of around $60.00, left with about 6-7 bags full and as we were pulling away my husband said, that same stuff would have probably cost double that at another store. We looked at everything, going from isle to isle, seeing all the things the store offered. The meat looked fresh, the steaks looked good, brisket too and the produce isle, not a single fruitfly spotted and nothing looked past its freshness. This store is a gem in our community, and it embodies the essence of southern hospitality. We will definitely be back. Well done...

My daughter went to cost cutters today and they tried to make her leave her back pack at the front desk! I’m furious because I shop there every week and I spend 300.00 or more there and they didn’t say anything about her backpack being on or anything like this! I don’t think they have a right to ask someone to leave their backpack at the register unless they have some type of proof that something has been stolen! I will NEVER shop there again! They are judging people and very prejudice! Shame shame on you...

Cost Kutters Grocery is discriminating against people who wear backpacks and making their customers feel unwelcome! They’ve been telling people to leave their personal belongings up front, risking the chance of either the cashier from going through the belongings or having them be stolen from someone else. If they keep up a lawsuit will be placed! You cannot legally single out people who wear backpacks but allow people who bring in big diaper bags and purses.
