If I could rate no stars and it still show publicly I would, the one star is being generous. My 80 year old Grandparents bought a “real leather” recliner from your store and within 6months it was turning colors and peeling. When they called, your company offered no return or purchase of another recliner you simply told them you’d slap a new piece on it. Upon arrival of one of your employees to “inspect” the chair they told them of your deceit which was it isn’t pure real leather. It is the hot dog of leather, a bunch of ground up leather or some other new age modification that is inflating the prices yet lowering the quality. So after the poor customer service your company provided they then have had to wait nearly a month after someone was supposed to be there to attach the “new” piece but guess what? They never showed up or called. Shame on you DT McCalls. This is bad enough from corporate America, it’s almost expected, however you are a shop small business that charge higher prices which is understandable but that on top of the poor customer service is undeniably unacceptable. Read moreDt mcalls has left me without a fridge for up to a week now and I have 10 mouths to feed. I called and told them I had a refrigerant leak then they sent a guy out 4 days later that wasnt at my house 3 mins and said "oh refrigerant leak? We have to send it in to the shop to work on it" Then they tried charging me $145 to essentially send a stranger to my home. Setting up delivery was a nightmare too. It took 2 whole days of me on the phone with them. I had the delivery department refuse to to set up a delivery and they hung the phone up to me. I talked to the delivery manager named Tim at the store that does delivery and told him about how I was hung up on and he laughed at me and said his employee told him about that. Then still did not set me up a delivery. I don't know what's funny about leaving a family without a fridge. I had to call back in and have the receptionist set up the delivery for me after 2 whole days of trying. They do not value my time whatsoever. I have a community garden I run and have been letting the community of Halifax know to not buy from DT Mcalls because they think it's funny to leave a family of 10...
Read moreWe bought 4 Lazy Boy recliners in June of 2021. One has been worked on twice and the another has “leather” peeling off of it. It probably started around April or May, but with Covid and quarantines it was past a year before I could contact them. The store and employees have always been great, but the Lazy Boy products aren’t what they used to be. When you buy furniture you expect it to last longer than a year, but these 2 recliners have been a headache, no real trouble with the other 2, just loud mechanisms on all 4. Probably 4 customers that won’t be back because of a brand that isn’t what it once was.
