I wasn't here, but I happen to know that VFW has never been a bad place. I used to have a membership up in Rensselaer. My children was small then and we lived there. I worked At Joseph's College, Lead Carpenter in the physical plant, and had one of the last gas stations that pumped your gas still and washed your windshield too. Closed down in November 1998. EPA regulations got to steep and I couldn't conform. To much money, I would have never of made it back period. The building wasn't mine, just the service station business was. Anyways, VFW is great non-profit gathering place. They do different things for the community and hold like a bingo game maybe or various other things to help the veterans out if needed or perhaps a family in need of some kind of services. Great job VFW, well done !...
