My daughter and I attempted to adopt a young kitten, Jake, from Wild Cat Foundation this weekend. Jake was located at PetSmart in Lafayette. Before we could even interact with him, I was told that I had to submit an Adoption Application. I did so and was rejected. The reason – I have an unneutered dog in my household. My DOG is a purebred Maltese and I was attempting to adopt a neutered CAT.
Let’s be real – there is not a lack of homes for purebred dogs and cats. The difficulty is finding homes for mixed breed, stray animals.
