Florissant Ace Hardware & Supply — Local services in Lake George

Not the biggest ACE Hardware I've ever been in, so selection of some items can be limited, or non-existent. Being a local resident with the next closest shopping option being 20 mins away, it can be frustrating when they repeatedly don't carry what you're looking for, or are closed altogether, which brings up my last point. Hours of operation. I don't have enough time to make it to this store before they close during the week, once I'm off work, which leaves only Saturday and Sunday for me to visit. Sunday they close or 3 or 330pm. The staff however are all absolutely wonderful and very helpful. Longer hours of operation would change my rating to 4 stars by itself. A bigger store with more items would make it a 5...

Everyone is friendly and personable. They feel like friends whenever you go back. If they aren't trying to help it is because the get swamped at times. Wait a minute or two and they will get to you. Waiting a few minutes is better than an hour long round trip to WP, and I guarantee you will not get any better service in WP. Julie and company greet me by name and make being there an enjoyable experience. So many Teller Co. businesses provide poor service, ridiculous hours/days of operation, etc. Everyone should support small local businesses like this store. Sure you may pay a few cents for something than you would somewhere else, but the extra you pay is a helluva lot cheaper than...

I went in to get some plumbing couplings. I searched for quite awhile with no luck. I finally decided to go up front and ask for help. One employee was mixing paint, another one looked like he was maybe adding up receipts, and a third was checking out a customer but then proceeded to carry on a long conversation with him. It would have helped if one of them had at least acknowledged me. I finally left and drove to a nearby town where I was promptly helped.
