I wanted to get a lane next to a birthday party that we were there for. I asked for the rate, the young girl didnt say anything, she just pointed to the menu on the desk without saying a word (mind you, I've never been to this bowling alley before). I asked the girl if the lane next to the party was open, she said "no", I asked if the next lane over was open, again she said "no" (without any elaboration). I looked around and realized that it looked like most of the lanes were taken and so I asked if there were any lanes open, she said "no". At this point I'm kind of frustrated because she didn't offer a wait list or any explanation about the situation and it was only 1:30 PM so I figured something would have opened up eventually. Read moreI thought this place was nice, until... I was literally asked to leave because I wanted a refund for the FIFTY CENTS that the stuffed animal machine ate. The guy working (refused to tell me his name) said the machines did not belong to Havasu Lanes and that I was basically out of luck. I believe that no matter who owns the machines, the company housing them should refund my money and then get it from the other company later. I had just spent $30 bowling with my daughter and had to argue over a fifty cent refund. Then he tells me that he will not give me his or the owners names and to leave. I have never been kicked out of anywhere in my life, so I know it was not me. That guy was obnoxious, and obviously really stressed out. Needless to say, I will not return to this business the next time I vacation in this town... We'll stick to the bowling alleys back home that practice...
