Some friends and I decided to get our kids together for a Halloween pumpkin patch fun day. I brought treat bags for the kids and a couple other mom's did as well. After we gathered around a moldy, wet, leaf filled table (where we couldn't sit) a man started to drive back and forth in a truck staring at our daughter's (9 girls total, raging from 7-11 years old). A couple of our kids got freaked out and we had them hang out in groups where we could see them. After 45 minutes the man came over to us and asked who was 'in charge'. I raised my hand because it was originally my idea to do a pumpkin patch date. He informed me that he was Dave and there is a $50 reservation fee PLUS $15 per child for 'parties'. (This includes the moldy picnic table, a pumpkin, and a gourd). I explained that we weren't a party, just a group of friends that got together. He said, 'You have treat bags, you're obviously a party'. Another mom interjected and he yelled, 'Ma'am, I'M NOT FINISHED'. I apologized and said I was unaware that we would be considered a party. He then told us that we had ten minutes to leave or he would charge us. I told him we had been there for 45 minutes already...why did you wait to inform us? He said he saw some of our kids breaking the rules. He had to tell two of our girls (both 52 inches) that they couldn't do the pumpkin bowling because they were too tall (need to be 48 inches or shorter). They did not play again after he told them the rule. I said I was disappointed that he waited so long to tell us. Another mom chimed in that we would have appreciated being told when we first arrived instead of him creeping out our children. He became defensive and and said, 'I'm through with you. Next time you'll know the rules'. We all grabbed our things and left (THREE of our kids crying). As we were leaving he was writing our license plate numbers down. I can assure you there will be NO next time. We all drove to Jewel and purchased our 14 pumpkins there. I am appalled at Dave's behavior, attitude, and business sense. We thought it would be nice to support a local business. Instead we stood around a moldy table for 45 minutes, then were accosted by a grumpy creep who scared our kids and made them cry. Congrats on...

Decided to head over there with my mother, father, wife and son to get my son a pumpkin, got him a pumpkin and a little acorn squash, paid for both with the provided QR code at the self service booth. Walked back towards the car little guy sees the tractors at the front and wanted to see them sent items purchased down to help him look at the tractors, decided to let him play picked up the squash and pumpkin put them in the car and came back by my family. Finally got the little dude to get ready to leave get him in the car and go to leave and we where blocked in and accused of stealing pumpkins, sat and waited for Sheriffs to arrive, they investigated and saw our receipt for the items purchased even offered for them to search the vehicle. After a couple minutes of talking with sheriffs was finally able to leave. Don’t know the owners side but from my experience, I don’t recommend this...
