I was thrilled with my first visit to this pet store and grooming salon! I came in seeking a groomer for my medium-sized dog, Max, who has a short, shiny coat. Upon arrival, I was warmly greeted by a friendly, dog-loving employee and then the groomer herself. Their passion for dogs was immediately evident, which I greatly appreciated since Max is like my second child.
At 13 years old, Max gets very nervous about grooming, especially since he hates water. The staff took extra time to comfort him, making a world of difference. The groomer was incredibly sweet and did a fantastic jobâMax looked amazing and was noticeably more relaxed than usual.
The atmosphere stood out the most. The owner must hire genuine dog lovers because everyone seemed to truly care about the animals and their owners. It's also super convenient that they offer a free dog wash station!
The location is perfectâright near downtown Lakeville, close to Teresa's Mexican Restaurant, Cub Foods, and Lakeville Liquors. The large parking lot makes finding a spot easy. Inside, the store has everything you might need for a dog or cat, including a large selection of bones, healthy treats, and unique gift ideas for pet lovers. I picked up an antler and some treats for Max, and he loved them!
While the grooming service was slightly more expensive than big-box stores like PetSmart, the quality of care and attention from the staff made it worth every penny. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an exceptional pet store or grooming service.
10/10âI will definitely be...
Read moreWe switched from the larger chain stores to Wag n Wash about a year ago when we moved to Lakeville, and I can't imagine shopping anywhere else. We have used all of their services now, and I have never been disappointed.
Every time I enter the staff is welcoming and by this point, most of them know my dog by name! (Draccus loves the attention) They have the high quality foods we like for both our dog and our cats, a rotating section of toys, protein focused treats and chews, and a fantastic little bakery for spoiling your pets.
The self service wash is always clean with plenty of supplies and assistance from the staff. While the prices have gone up since we started going there, not having to clean up after blow drying a Bernese Mountain Dog is worth the cost in my opinion.
Finally, we recently tried the professional grooming services, and I was absolutely blown away. Our groomer, Emma, listened to my requests and requirements for the groom and Draccus came back happy and looking dapper. Many dog owners like myself are hesitant to try a new groomer, especially for longer hair dogs. Indeed I was nervous when dropping him off, but I can't recommend Emma and the Wag n Wash...
Read moreIm saddened to say that this visit is my last. I tried giving them another chance (katie) and she always disappoints me saying that she had to shave the dogs down because of matting. I showed her a picture of how the cut should be and she always says sure and always sends all 3 of my designer dogs home with a fully shaven face and body. I made an appointment 3 months ago and during that time they increased their cost. I was okay with that but then they were reluctant to show me my dog before paying and when the brought her out the employee Katie could be heard complaining to her colleague. She even charged extra $10 for a âshave downâ! I always have tipped her &20-30 above cost but this time she was rude, didnât call to tell me there was a change in grooming and sent my poor baby shaking uncontrollably as if she was unkind to my fur baby.
I have never paid more for less! Less quality of service and less customer service. Probably thatâs why there is so much turn over at that...
