This nail salon has gone downhill in a matter of months. When they reopened with the current owners, it was clean and had a positive, happy vibe. Now, I guess since they’ve been open for a while, it’s dirty, they don’t take the time to clean the pedicure chair and stations before starting a new client, don’t wipe the chairs down. They’re very skimpy on product. Hardly any lotion or exfoliator.I got up from getting a pedicure and had to put my own sandals on because the nail tech, daughter walked away to answer her cell phone. No one offered to help me with my sandals. I then I looked behind the chair and see how filthy it is, nail dust everywhere, and dirt. The enclosure for pipes is filthy. I had to go home and apply more top coat on my toes as they were super dull. Plus, the family is snarky and rude. They’re always fighting except for the one lady Angela who works there. Not sure how she puts up with it. Their prices have gone way up as well. Last few times they charged me 5.00 extra to take gel polish off. They don’t even soak it off with cotton and acetone/foil. They drill it off. The owner Sophia is rude and gets an attitude as well as her husband Hugo who gets mad if any client asks for something he doesn’t want to do. I’ve taken my business elsewhere. I’m paying for a service and don’t want to feel tension when getting a pedicure as it is a treat nowadays. Clearly, they don’t want to keep a thriving business going either, seeing as the economy is...
Read moreIt was a disaster! The woman who did my nails kept asking me to get the more expensive service which I politely turned down. She asked me at least 4 more times after, in which I declined a bit more aggressively. When she was gluing the nail on the put it on crooked, When she cut them down they were all slanted and not aligned. One was longer than the other. When she added the acrylic she missed spots so the nail is misshapen. When she asked me to get a color I got up and picked when and she asked me if I wanted a design I complimented her beautiful work, but she never told me it would cost extra so I did it. I asked for two red hearts at the corner of my nail. She painted my nail with the color I handed her, but it was all over my fingers and smeared everywhere. When she did the hearts one was bigger than the other, when I asked her to fix it she said she would charge me 15$ more so I declined and left it like that. When she was done and I was getting ready to pay she said $35 but when I asked her in the beginning she said $28, she said because of the design, she never told me that the design was extra. If I would have known I wouldn't have gotten the design. So I paid her her money and left no tip and told her I wouldn't be back. That was fraud and bad business! I wouldn't recommend this...
Read moreI went to Florida Nails today to treat myself to a pedicure. I’m friendly, never complain and always make sure to leave a nice tip, that said, my experience today was the absolute worst I’ve ever had in any nail salon. As I said, getting a pedi is a treat for me. I look forward to a relaxing time, with nice massages in a friendly environment. Instead, I received a rushed service, from a technician (who was actually the owner) who from the start couldn’t be bothered to say hello and said nothing the entire time. He made me feel like I was an inconvenience that he was tolerating. Though not enjoyable, I still wanted my nails done and against my better judgment stayed which in hindsight was a mistake. He pulled my cuticles so hard that it was painful and even though I told him it hurt he simply ignored me. The polishing was a mess and I left with red sore cuticles and smeared nail polish that I had to redo when I got home. The only time he spoke to me was to ask if I was putting his tip on my credit card -which was a no. I don’t like writing a bad review especially for a small local business, but the service and pedi was so poor. As I said, I wished I had left but didn’t want a confrontation but going forward I will take my hard earned money...
