One thing I’ve learned about rehabilitation places is that it doesn’t make a difference how nice the place is or how normal the place looks. If you have good nurses, that’s all that matters and I have to say I’ve had the pleasure of seeing my mother taken care by some of the best nurses and techs I have ever seen. Especially Charmaine who went above and beyond what she had to do for my mother. There’s not enough nice things I can say about her. we definitely need a lot more nurses like her. We’ve had one problem with one nurse here and everybody did everything they could to help us with it and they really made up for it. it’s not even worth mentioning her name. if you’re looking for a place for a loved one and you want to know they’ll be cared for and be safe this is the place to bring them. unfortunately, we had two very bad experiences at two different places that my mother had to live through and it was not fair to her. I really wish we would’ve found this place first there’s not a doubt in my mind if we would’ve found this place first my mother would be out of there by now. she has done so good since she’s been here and again I can’t thank the staff enough. They are definitely...
Read moreI try to only write reviews when completely warranted and when I have receipts (pictures & documented evidence to prove). DO NOT LEAVE your family member here for long term care. Food allotted for residents is being taken and not being discarded but instead walking out with whomever can get away with it. Often the scares portions of food the residents do receive is often burnt and cold. Unknown staff is STEALING clothing, cigarettes and money from the residents. The quality of care from basic communication, the distribution of medication, to the physical care is below minimal grade. Physical therapy is a joke, non existing. Either the staff is unqualified to provide the service, don't care or the staffing ratio wont allow them to adequately provide what the individual resident the specific care they need. Children of staff are often on site at all hours of the night disturbing resident. Its sad! True care is absent here and to them it's BUSINESS AS USUAL. More alarming, when concerns are raised its always the resident's fault. I pray things, hearts & minds improve so that genuine care, sincerity and courtesy is offered to those who have challenges...
Read moreI cannot say enough about Erin O’Connell, the Food Service Director at Atlantic Coast Rehab and Healthcare. She is nothing short of phenomenal! Erin goes far beyond her job title, she pours her heart, creativity, and professionalism into everything she does. The quality of meals, the variety, the attention to detail, and the way she listens to residents’ needs are absolutely outstanding.
She doesn’t just manage the kitchen, she creates experiences. You can feel the love and care she puts into every menu, and the residents light up because of it. She takes the time to get to know each person’s preferences and dietary needs, always finding ways to make meals both nourishing and enjoyable.
Erin embodies excellence, leadership, and compassion. In a world where true dedication can be hard to find, she shines brightly as a role model of what every Director of Nutritional Services should aspire to be. Atlantic Coast is incredibly lucky to have her, and I feel blessed to have witnessed her talent and commitment firsthand.
If I could give Erin 10 stars, I would. She is truly the gold standard in her field! Highly recommend Atlantic Coast rehab...
