Monmouth Medical Center, Southern Campus- Emergency Room — Local services in Lakewood Township

These reviews have me pissing my pants. Most can't type a full sentence or even full words correctly lmao. One lady is crying they didn't have soup ,towels, robes and coffee ready for her when she walked in lmao. Is this a hospital? or a hotel/spa you're looking for? People PLEASE for the love of God, Stop reviewing everything but the actual hospital it's self!!! If it's not about how the staff treated you specifically (no nurses laughing during working and talking to each other doesn't count. This is a hospital not boot camp), how your treatment went, or whether or not you got the help you need... Like whether or not you survived and/or got better or not? Then it don't belong here in the reviews. Hell my comment shouldn't even be here, but apparently it has to be. Cus people can't spell, Nor do they know what's actually important at a hospital. Man some of y'all are spoiled and crazy entitled!!! Anyway I haven't been here in a while, I plan to go tonight. Last time I was here less than a year ago? (Also went 3 or 4 years ago) I got like 5 different test done and I was in and out in under 45 mins. From the second I walked in they took me right back. 2 mins later the Dr came in and asked what's wrong.. after that? I didn't stay in any one room for longer than 10 mins. Did my 5 test (X-rays, sonogram, blood work, urine, MRI) and was out the door in 5 mins after. If I don't change this review? Just know my stay tonight was another hour or less experience. This was easily. One of the worst hospitals I've ever been in. I went in the ER for sharp chest pains and breathing problems that I was having the day before. Since the pain wasn't going away I went into the ER. So first of all, they forgot to take my urine sample so they left it in the bag on the sink in my room. Second of all, they had to take my blood sample twice and it took three people to find my veins. Third of all, a doctor never came and talked to me so it was just the nurses or the nurse practitioner and after they did the so-called testing and X-rays, they said everything is normal and I just have anxiety and bad gas. They didn't even bother retaking my blood pressure being that it was 158 over 73 when I first got in there. All they did was give me a Tylenol for my headache and sent me home. Not to mention sticking me with a $200 copay. 2 days went by and I still wasn't feeling right so I went to the ER in brick and they did the same test and they took my blood and x-rays. Once again it comes back normal but given my symptoms of the chest pains, the doctor concluded that I had something called costochondritis which is inflammation on the cartilage on the breastbone. Fortunately it wasn't serious so I just take ibuprofen for a few days and that's it. But it's nice to know that there's a name for the symptoms I had and I'm not just some gassy anxious person. Kimball's hospital staff made me feel like was crazy and it was all in my head and no healthcare place should make you feel like that when you're entrusting your health. The emergency room has really gone down in the last few years! they down play your illness and you go to another because they did not help and find out you did have a issues that was causing pain or illness I had Pneumonia and the Nurse Practitioner Told me she had a cough all week too go home and take cold med then there was the time I was on Narcolepsy meds and I had been down to the emergency numerous time for falls sleep walking and doings things did remember and they advised me to continue taking one night I had a very bad reaction and my husband was gonna call ambulance but a neighbor had called because I was screaming well the police came first and because I refusing to be touched and fighting them they took me to hospital to have my blood sugar checked AND THE HOSPITAL knew DAMN well I was on that med and the possible side effects my husband was there with my med trying to explain but the Doctor let them take me to jail When I went to court the JUDGE Said he was so sorry that the hospital and police failed me The Judge said soooooooooo sorry I should have sued PK and the police a lawyer told so NO I will never go down there again...
