Canāt speak for all the people there but the person I saw, I think is the owner. First time I was there she was on the phone for about 15 min of my appointment. I was on a time crunch and she knew this. I let that go and made another appointment before leaving for two weeks in advance. Showed up for that appointment and she had someone in her chair and others waiting. She tells me how someone that morning has her delayed and sheās about 2 hours behind and she mentions something about me being new and her scheduling system. I tell her she made me the appointment herself while I was there the last time and she was surprised. She obviously didnāt remember me nor take any responsibility in any part of the screw up. Itās somehow the scheduling systemās fault that she did not bother to look at it and let people know she was behind. I just left. She didnāt apologize or anything. I get that things happen but the least she can do is communicate before I waste my time going there and mess up my entire day. Maybe call me and see if I can reschedule? I showed up with my hair product-free because I knew that I had this appointment and I didn't see the point of having product in my hair just to have it be washed out the same day. I've been natural for ten years and I've had a buzzcut for about 4 years before I started growing out my hair again this past fall. I've always had long and healthy hair with a consistent routine and never had any issues with growth. I know what works and doesn't work for my hair. I was also told that I wasn't "black enough" for locs due to my slightly loose hair texture at my current length and I was deeply hurt that my heritage was questioned just because I wanted locs. She also made a few rude comments about race and it was very uncomfortable, but I felt like being here was my option for locs in the area. Luckily, I found a salon farther away that has a lot more experience with locing all textures of hair and I gladly booked an appointment with them. All she did was wash my hair, put some white foam, set with a cap for 30 minutes, she blowed dried my hair, used some spritz on my hair alittle. We had several disagreements about what little she was doing to my hair for the price I was paying. She lied twice to me and I proved it to her when I went on Amazon. Here it's 2 weeks later and I have to put gel on my edges and heat on my hair daily. You try to support your own folks and look what I got... NOTHING FOR ALL THAT MONEY. I'll never go back there again and I certainly won't recommend Sizta's to anyone. There were other things said between us, but its just too much text. And DID NOT give her a tip.
