Weis Markets — Local services in Lancaster Township

i know its not weis fault about there products because they dont make them but i live right up the street from weis and i go there everyday i spend alot of money there which i dont mind at all the employees are friendly and helpful ,weis shelves are more stocked then any other store i go to, and prices aint to bad but the microwave meat and sauce Stouffer's spaghetti lately has had little to barely any sauce in it and its disappointing because its really good and one of the top five things i buy ive also found plastic in my spaghetti from the same company. The weis brand chips sour cream barely ever have seasoning on them and are mostly hard and black but again its one of my top five things i buy ...when they are soft with seasoning there really good (almost better then herrs)the plain weis brand chips are also hard and black at times my wife eats the sour cream ones but she hasnt been able to due to the cutts and pain they cause the roof of her mouth lastly i get the chicken strip hungry man meal and last week one of my chicken strips was missing again i know itsnot weis fault but if I'm spwnding money i should be getting what i pay for and not having sauce on spaghettii and missing chicken isnt fair . The chips need to be better seasoned and less hard . Ifthose things were better weis would be perfect to shop at . Im hoping in the future it gets better 😉my wife loves weis seafood salad she reduses to eat any other from anywhere else she likes the one with just shrimp and crab i like the one with noodles in it . Like i said there shelves are usually pretty stoocked and they usually have a good selection . Its just those few issues . Nobody makes a seafood salad like weis theres days i go to buy it and its gone 😔 i hope they never change it or take anything away from it or add anything its perfect...

The manager of this place should be fired. So many times there are looong checkout lines because only 2 or 3 lanes are open. I’ve gotten so much bad meat here that I will not buy any meat unless it’s dated at least 1 week away. The butcher job on the chicken is done in such a way it adds inedible weight to the package. I always need to trim a good bit of the Weis brand boneless skinless chicken breast. Instead of trimming the excess skin and fat off the chicken thighs (Weis brand) they fold it under so you can’t see it. I’ve been told by some of the employees they can’t keep help. This tells me it’s a management problem. Happy employees don’t quit. I’m guessing the manager’s bonuses are based on how low the labor costs are so he or she schedules as few people per shift as possible. This is probably why he/she can’t keep help. Figure and extra 30 minutes if you need to see customer service because there are always looong lines there too. Only one person at the customer service desk and 15 people in line. And the men’s room is always filthy and stinks. The place is pitiful. The place is real close to home and this is the only reason I go there. I went in today to get some items for myself and my sweet kitty. I had some issues with self checkout, I accidentally hit finish and pay when I wasn’t done… duh me. The lady working the self checkout was BEYOND AMAZING. I wish I would’ve gotten her name. She came to assist me with the machine when my dumb self pressed the wrong button and still had items to scan. She literally stayed with me the entire time, and helped me bag the remaining items, and double bagged some of my bags to guarantee they didn’t rip. I feel sometimes staff that do self checkout aren’t always helpful or seem annoyed. However this sweet kind soul went above and beyond!! Thanks so much!!!

I had to come on here and add to my review, this Weis continues to impress me and go above and beyond. I went in today and needed a last minute thing of cupcakes with whipped icing which I didn’t even know that whipped icing was refrigerated please no judgement. Erica in the bakery, put together something so nice for me and didn’t even complain or argue that my dumb self needed something so last minute. Eric you will forever be a hero, you rock!!!!
